Staff was very helpful despite any language barriers. Early arrival was handled nicely. Bottled water in room and availability of refrigerator was appreciated. We really appreciated having a guest laundry available. Location was excellent assuming you understand that you'll be staying in the wild Shinjuku Kubukicho area where it's a party every night - sort of like staying on the Las Vegas strip. Proximity to public transport, i.e. trains, subway, buses is excellent (we used them all). Literally hundreds of restaurant and shopping opportunities within easy walking distance. We'd likely choose to stay here again.
Boasting 7 food and beverage options, and its own aquarium, Prince Hotel is right next to JR Shinagawa Train Station, from where Haneda Airport is only a 25-minute train ride away.

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!
Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Center near the waterfront, and savor the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.
Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.
For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Outdoor markets sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.
Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.
Tokyo is a place I would recommend for 3-4 days. For longer stays it must be tiring. It's noisy, lots of people. You can feel that it is the capital.
The city has great public transport. You can get everywhere by train and underground. Great restaurants and shops.

Tokyo was a wonderful surprise...super friendly locals and all the signs and announcements are in English! Super clean, no graffiti, no tooting mopeds - in fact very little traffic as everyone walks and takes the trains. Which are super efficient as there are heaps of Train Lines going in every direction, so its easy to criss cross the city. Very safe walking in the streets too! And the food is SO good!

Tokyo, like all of Japan, has brilliant "mass" transportation, and in Tokyo it reaches its most complex, So be patient with yourself while figuring out how to take advantage of this "embarrassment of riches." Try to learn a few important expressions, and be grateful when you meet someone who understands and speaks a language (e.g., English) other than Japanese. I found people to be helpful ALWAYS, and if not effusively friendly, they are respectful and deserve your respect. Find the small places for great food, ask around, and try to stay at a locally owned and run small ryokan, where you'll get the best advice on where to eat, what to see, etc. Don't miss visiting other parts of Tokyo outside of the usual Asakusa (which is wonderful) and Taito city, and don't miss the museum complex in Ueno Park. Oh, and for those who come from U.S. cities: take note of the cleanliness and the accommodation of pedestrians and cyclists.

Takeshita street in Harajuku was really fun.
Takeshita street in Harajuku was really fun. We enjoyed walking Shibuya area and Asakusa area as well. So much to see and enjoy in Tokyo so 2 days was not enough. We really enjoyed all the food we ate too.
Location is perfect for shopping around Shinjuku district but also good if you want to go to the other major shopping areas. I traveled from airport by taking the limousine bus, the trip was around 100 mins and the NEX at JR Shinjuku station to airport, both are very convenient.
I stayed at economy double for 1st night and move to a twin room when my husband join me, it’s much spacious and of good size for 2 persons.
A lot of restaurants nearby.
The hotel buffet breakfast provided good variety of food
Room was nice but on the smaller side, I expectedly this for a hotel in Tokyo. It was clean and tidy though. Location was good directly opposite Okubo Park, which gives you a landmark to follow finding your way back! It was about 10 minutes walk to Shinjuku or Shin Okubo Stations. Has a 7-11 right around the corner, about a 2 minute walk. All the staff were kind and polite and answered any questions I had. I had a nice stay here!
The onsen in the hotel is nice!! enjoyed it every evening!
the location is great! directly close to metro station or biiiig shinjuku station - like 10 min walk.
many verrry good restaurants nearby.
and directly to the shinjuku gyoen park.
you are even close to kabukicho. so if you wanna go there... the hotel is close.
the room was clean, the bed was realy comfy - as usual in apa hotels.
Great choice for a capsule hotel, better than others I've stayed at. Clean facilities, really nice lounge on 9F, large showers, relaxing quiet atmosphere. Locker is a good size for a carry-on suitcase and personal bags. Sinks & locker areas can be crowded at times but guests are generally respectful as it's women only. Easy 15min walk to main Shinjuku shopping area.
A very convenient hotel. The stations are all near to the hotel . oedo line straight to shinjuku n shimbashi is just 10 mins away and can direct to Ginza and to Haneda airport via Asakusa line. The hotel amenities are good too. room space are not too small. N yet comfortable ! There are sky bridge to link everywhere! Very good for walking with nice view!
