The setting is spectacular. The room is extremely spacious (one of the largest we have ever stayed in). The design lends itself to privacy (which we really appreciate). The room was comfortable and well adorned. This resort should be one of the top resorts in the boutique category of all inclusives but it falls a bit short in attention to detail. Would recommend for a quiet couples location. The alto saxophone player on Friday night was talented and fun.
Located only 164 feet from the beach, the Ojo del Agua Hotel offers guests free Wi-Fi in public areas, an on-site diving and snorkeling store and massage service.

The best thing re: Ojo de Agua is its beach location & Don Ernesto's beach club and its manager, Salvatore, who is super helpful - he even borrowed to me an iphone charging cord when mine died!

The tranquility hits you as soon as you step foot inside of the Oom Buble boutique grounds. A facility unlike any other I’ve seen in all my travels across Europe, South America or even South East Asia. Easily one of my favourite stays in a long time. We will be returning.

Beautiful and tranquil place to stay. The wonderful owners will charm you to no end and will do almost anything to ensure you are comfortable. (Prime example: we casually mentioned we were headed to Puerto Morelos and they brought us a cooler and parasol, and had an excellent recommendation for a reasonable place along the beach.) There are billiards, ping pong, a natural water pool, hammocks and so much more available to guests.

This is a new property. The room was comfortable, clean, modern, and had cute boho decor! The shower had strong water pressure and nice hot water! The a/c worked well. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Located just 5 mins from the beach and right next door to several cafes and small restaurants. Would definitely stay again!!

Puerto Morelos is a small yet vibrant town with heaps of options for everyone, from families of all sizes and ages to singles or couples who want to party or have a great time by the beach. Almost same distance from Cancun and Playa del Carmen, close to the route of the Cenotes and Super Markets.
Cultural events happening very often at the main plaza and they have a few local markets to go to and enjoy some souvenir shopping. Amazing food EVERYWHERE!

Loved it when we started going to shop there from an all inclusive more than 10 years ago. So started staying there instead. First couple years were great. Then COVID for 2 years. Since then we have been going usually twice year. But this time (April 2024) noticed how it’s gone from laidback, mostly authentic town to tourist centered with a lot of building. Used to have building rules that no higher than 3 stories. That has definitely either changed or been ignored. Still nice place, just changing into a smaller (so far) of Playa del Carmen.

Puerto Morelos is a hidden gem!
Puerto Morelos is a hidden gem! Very clean, quaint and relaxed! The beach area is pristine and the water is exactly that Caribbean azure blue green! There's lots going on but it doesn't seem busy. Very chill - happy vibes! Gorgeous sunshine and a warm breeze! Tons of choice for food and drink, tours, and necessities. Pretty perfect!

Lovely little village with some local character, where there are some local people, not just tourists. Perfect location for everything: snorkelling, the airport, cenotes, local attractions, and yet much more relaxed and low key than most other places on the coast.

This ""Deluxe Double Ocean View" room was awful.
This ""Deluxe Double Ocean View" room was awful. NO furniture except for the bed and ONE wooden chair. We had to put our luggage on the floor. NO closet or hangers. NO bottled water - which should be a given for any Mexican hotel. So glad we were only there for two nights and then could escape to our place in Akumal. We do love Puertos Morelos and the restaurant on-site at the hotel helped make up for our miserable stay.
LAST time we book with Booking.com.

Puerto Morelos is a quiet, laid back town that tries to provide both modern conveniences, while maintaining its ethnic culture. The restaurants were plentiful and the food was well prepared. If you are staying on the beach side, everything was within walking distance. (The bookstore was a pleasant surprise.) This is not a party town. Most of the visitors are middle aged and hail from the USA and Canada. For us, this was the perfect place to relax.
I liked that we were right on the beach with a beachfront view with balcony for a very affordable price. we were also central to the town and everything was a short walk. I also learned it’s very easy to use my credit card for purchases rather than converting pesos to USD. we went on 3 excursions as well because it was much cheaper than what the all inclusive resorts offer. I felt very safe at all times.
The location on the beach is ideal and the do-it-yourself breakfast was excellent. The staff was great and rooms clean. We weren't crazy about the swinging beds, but the staff gladly set the bed on solid ground for us. The vibe is more B&B than hotel, so there's opportunities to mingle with the guests. Seems like a place that people make return visits to.
I really loved everything about this hotel. The place is very beautiful and unique. It is not luxury, but, remember, you are a vauable guest of the local Mexican family, and it is much more important! Please support local business! While staying at commercial chain resorts and hotels you are losing 90% of Yucatan experience and flavor!
This is such a nice hotel. I don't usually travel in resorts, so it was a treat. It had excellent WIFI. the rooms were spacious and the pools were stunning. The staff was friendly and the complimentary mini bar came with 7 bottled waters, 6 beers, 3 diet coke, 3 coke, 3 sprite and 3 seltzers. Coffee is also provided in the room.
A one of a kind experience in the heart of the jungle. Like sleeping under the stars safe and sound in your own little bubble. The hotel lacks for nothing; service, food, high speed wifi, private cenote, sweat lodge, telescope, AC, comfortable beds, and a beach-like pool. All only 20 mins from the beach at Puerto Morelos.
Interesting architecturally, there is a small pool and great central location. Armando who is a manager is very friendly and speaks very good English as does his fellow lady staff member. Good breakfast with excellent coffee and refills included. A good economical choice in a town of inflated hotel prices.
The hotel looks like something akin to a Smurf village. Lots of funky twists and turns that’ll make you smile. A very garden/jungle- like outside creates a cool atmosphere. A small pool feels great after a sweaty day. Helpful staff explained the ins and outs of the property via message on this site.
This is a hotel where you feel like amongst friends. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. They are happy to recommend you places, restaurants, etc. Breakfast is delicious and filling
It's a place with a soul - small, but uniquely decorated and people make there an atmosphere.
Calm, relaxing stay in the hotel!
The hotel located on the beach, so we did morning yoga on the beach and feel the see breath at night.
Delicious breakfasts.
It is possible to cook lunch by ourself in the hotel kitchen.
Many thanks for helpful hotel's management!
The location of the hotel is the best thing about it. So central. The size of the room is great and the parking lot is very handy. Best option if your priority is being close to town and on the beach at. More affordable price than other hotels.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, boutiques, cafes and the main Plaza. It is a quiet facility. On the same block as to several eateries, a bakery and Xoxo store. The staff was very welcoming.
Swimming pool on the top flor was very nice and clean, water was cold, but very refreshing. The staff was very helpfull. The room and bathroom was clean and nice and quiet. There is a nice small parking space by the hotel.
rustic, small mexican beach town feel. What I was expecting. wasn't your standard hotel. it was a rustic accommodation with a restaraunt on the groundfloor. the bed was very comfortable. and the shower was a classic.
The beach is fantastic, one of the nicest iv seen in Mexico. Catalonia hotel is in the middle of the jungle and has lots of animals wich is very nice. The services are great.
Fantastic hotel with spacious new bedrooms anc walking distance from the village. I felt safe and I loved walking on the beach. The hotel staff is so helpful and friendly.
