The tranquility hits you as soon as you step foot inside of the Oom Buble boutique grounds. A facility unlike any other I’ve seen in all my travels across Europe, South America or even South East Asia. Easily one of my favourite stays in a long time. We will be returning.

Great Hotel, beautiful facility. Breakfast was OK. Did not like the set up for the sales pitch to buy in, but we did receive a very nice gift for going to it. Entertainment was great!! Appreciated the seagrass removal!

The hotel which is located in relatively unspoilt forest about 30 km West of Puerto Morelos on the Ruta de los Cenotes consists of a number of cpmfortable bungalows bulit in the Mayan style around a small swimming pool and a restaurant serving simple but tasty meals and drinks. This makes it an ideal base for exploring the nearby cenotes, the coast between Cancun and Tulum (including Cozumel) the Mayan sites of Coba and Chichen Itza. I was travelling alone on a birdwatching trip but the hoel was clearly popular with couples and families seeking to explore the Yucatan penninsular away from the resort areas. The complex is run by a lovely couple, she is Mexican and he is French, who are trilingual (French, Spanish & English) and for whom nothing is too much trouble. An added bonus for me was that the grounds of the hotel turned out to be very good for birdwatching with a nice range of resident species and winter visitors from North America.

This is a new property. The room was comfortable, clean, modern, and had cute boho decor! The shower had strong water pressure and nice hot water! The a/c worked well. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Located just 5 mins from the beach and right next door to several cafes and small restaurants. Would definitely stay again!!

Puerto Morelos is a small yet vibrant town with heaps of options for everyone, from families of all sizes and ages to singles or couples who want to party or have a great time by the beach. Almost same distance from Cancun and Playa del Carmen, close to the route of the Cenotes and Super Markets.
Cultural events happening very often at the main plaza and they have a few local markets to go to and enjoy some souvenir shopping. Amazing food EVERYWHERE!

Loved it when we started going to shop there from an all inclusive more than 10 years ago. So started staying there instead. First couple years were great. Then COVID for 2 years. Since then we have been going usually twice year. But this time (April 2024) noticed how it’s gone from laidback, mostly authentic town to tourist centered with a lot of building. Used to have building rules that no higher than 3 stories. That has definitely either changed or been ignored. Still nice place, just changing into a smaller (so far) of Playa del Carmen.

Puerto Morelos is a hidden gem!
Puerto Morelos is a hidden gem! Very clean, quaint and relaxed! The beach area is pristine and the water is exactly that Caribbean azure blue green! There's lots going on but it doesn't seem busy. Very chill - happy vibes! Gorgeous sunshine and a warm breeze! Tons of choice for food and drink, tours, and necessities. Pretty perfect!

Lovely little village with some local character, where there are some local people, not just tourists. Perfect location for everything: snorkelling, the airport, cenotes, local attractions, and yet much more relaxed and low key than most other places on the coast.

This ""Deluxe Double Ocean View" room was awful.
This ""Deluxe Double Ocean View" room was awful. NO furniture except for the bed and ONE wooden chair. We had to put our luggage on the floor. NO closet or hangers. NO bottled water - which should be a given for any Mexican hotel. So glad we were only there for two nights and then could escape to our place in Akumal. We do love Puertos Morelos and the restaurant on-site at the hotel helped make up for our miserable stay.
LAST time we book with Booking.com.

Puerto Morelos is a quiet, laid back town that tries to provide both modern conveniences, while maintaining its ethnic culture. The restaurants were plentiful and the food was well prepared. If you are staying on the beach side, everything was within walking distance. (The bookstore was a pleasant surprise.) This is not a party town. Most of the visitors are middle aged and hail from the USA and Canada. For us, this was the perfect place to relax.
We are back from a 2 weeks holiday in this hotel. The staff is attentive and really helpful. Special thanks to the El Beso Bistro team (Edgar, Angel, Jesus, etc..). The sheer size and style of the hotel are amazing (4 pools), 1Km to walk from one side to the other. The beach is beautiful. The all inclusive food is really ok, there are 11 restaurants to choose from and some of them are really good (Italian and Sensai). The room service is all included as well. The Wifi is great, you can easily stream Netflix.
The location is perfect, it is out of the way of the main area's of Puerto Morelos so very chill. Turtles laying eggs on the beach every night while I was there. The room is right on the beach. The kitchen and rooms were always kept clean and tidy. Sebastian the caretaker is always there to help with anything, he really is an awesome guy who always has a smile on his face. I would highly recommend these rooms for both short and long term stays.
Amazing location! Directly on the beach. No one around. It's a big house that stands alone. You have access to the kitchen. The nearest restaurant is about a 20 minute drive away down a very bumpy dirt road. I would want a car to stay here. Also there is limited electricity. And wi fi is so so. But if you like nature and peace from crowds then this is your place! We would stay again!
Very welcoming and helpful staff (thank you Wendy for your kindness :-)), beautiful location on the beach and clean comfortable rooms. Very nice restaurant too (the shrimp and fish tacos were delightful as catch of the day).
Located at 10 min drive from sweet little town Puerto Morelos, worth a visit (try the very nice 'Amor y pez cafe', their tapas, guacamole and ceviche are TOP)
As I was travelling solo
I lived the breakfast.. Helping yourself and cooling Yr eggs ect.
The staff were so friendly and felt like a little community.
The hotel was so quiet just what I needed from travelling through Mexico.
I would highly recommend this hotel
And so easy to get to the more lively places in Puerto Merelos.
I will definitely be back
Well here it is. The last unmolested piece of Puerto Morelos....
This is a gorgeous place to stay - right on the beach with the wind blowing through the window.
Fairly basic rooms but the location is prime.
You need a bike to get in and out of town - Green Bikes are great the owner will drop them to you.
I could have stayed here forever.
The position is tight on the beach which is very beautiful. If you stay here you get free sun beds but be sure to reserve the day before, otherwise they all get booked out! The cafe & restaurant serves all day. The food is quite good but we didn’t have dinner there as there are good places to eat nearby.
During our 7 days for 177 usd/night overall beautiful room and quite lovely beach. Not great value. Staff were really nice. Enjoyed the small gym. But know you can’t even call the hotel front desk if you wanted to… No one responds or you just get a general operator that doesn’t give you direct answers.
The hotel looks like something akin to a Smurf village. Lots of funky twists and turns that’ll make you smile. A very garden/jungle- like outside creates a cool atmosphere. A small pool feels great after a sweaty day. Helpful staff explained the ins and outs of the property via message on this site.
This was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the ocean views. It is a small hotel and EVERY room has a ocean view. There’s not a bad room on the property. The staff were very friendly and answered all my questions. They even arranged for an in room Covid test and an early taxi to the airport.
Right on the beach. Went to see the sunrise. We only stayed one night but it was just what we needed. The bed was comfortable. Ac was cold. As soon as you walk out of the front of the hotel property there's a little street with many businesses (food, drinks etc) all walking distance.
Hotel El Moro is our favorite stop in Puerto Morelos. We have stayed many times and in many rooms. Each of them are unique, cozy, and comfortable. The breakfasts are excellent, the staff exceptionally helpful, and the location is just a few steps from the beach.
Staff were excellent & helpful. Great atmosphere around the pool every day. The beach was beautiful. Good selection of restaurants however the portion sizes were a little small. The food trucks were my favorite meal choice of the hotel, amazing burgers!!
We came there for relax on a private beach - and we have it :) Except that staff was excellent, hotel had it's own small pool, we had a fridge and a microwave in the room which, in fact, was newly renovated so in general we can't complain about anything.
The hotel building is in large area and on the beachfront, the breakfast is 6/10, most of the staff are friendly, the rooms are little worn and need refreshing. Unfortunately, that's where the good things ends.
Isolated, on the beach, quiet, environmentally conscious.
Be sure to bring food with you unless you will have all your meals provided by the hosts.
Bring sturdy water shoes if you want to get in the ocean.
We only stayed here for two nights and the hotel has beautiful design and the rooms are super comfortable. Puerto Morelos is a really cool town and was a highlight of our Riviera Maya trip.
The hotel was really cute, the staff helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We will definitely book here next time we go to Puerto Morelos.
