Upon arrival we felt the staff were most welcoming and accommodating. The hotel is in an amazing location with spectacular views of the ocean and cliffs from the room and shared spaces . The breakfast was lovely with great variety . The dining room has an Oceanside view , great service and wonderful cuisine. The beach is lovely and would definitely recommend a meal at Bar do Fundo and it’s fabulous view. Definitely recommend and hope to return .

Sintra is a beautiful town. There are many places to see, but so many other tourists it is hard so some attractions. If you want to go to attractions you need to purchase tickets ahead of time and make sure you have reliable transportation to the attractions. Allow ample time to get to where you are going b/c traffic to the tourist sights are usually jammed with traffic.
Lots of places to eat and shop.

Historical part of Sintra certainly deserves a visit when you are in the area. In my opinion one full day will do to see visit the park and some of the palaces. You would start early so a stay overnight might be more convenient for some.Tickets are easily booked online and I purchased an audio tour to listen to on my phone. There are are tuktuk or taxi drivers around that can bring you to the entrance of the park from where you can walk to the Palace de Pena and other sites. There are several entrances. Instead going to the busy main entrance I took a tuktuk to the entrance of the Valley of the Lakes, a 45 min. walk away from Palace de Pena. It a beautiful and quiet part of the park and I took a detour to see the chalet and garden of the Countess of Edla, which I loved even more than the palace itself.
Visiting the palace involved long waits in line and walking in files through the rooms. Not my thing. The park is huge with a diversity in plants and trees, it has a camelea and a fern garden, just nice to wonder around for a few hours. Bring snacks and drinks if you want to avoid the waiting line for the cafeteria at the palace.

Lots of walking.
Lots of walking. Ideally 3-4 days to hit everything comfortably. Old Town is closed to motor traffic so rideshare, taxis, and public transportaion are your best bet. Rideshare works to the sites well but can often be a problem getting back

It is perfect place for two days visit from Lisbon.
It is perfect place for two days visit from Lisbon. First day we managed to visit Quinta da Regaleira, next day - Pena and Cabo de Roca, and at the first half of the next day - Monserrate Palace. It was worth to visit everything. One bad thing is the local transport company Scotturb. Overpriced tickets with almost no options except 24h ticket. If you don't need the day ticket, I think using a taxi is better.
Everything was quite perfect. The owner/manager was super polite and friendly to all our problems/confuses. The location is absolutely perfect, cause it took just 22 minutes from villa to my home in the Lisbon city centre (Avenida da Liberdade). The cleanliness was perfect, - everything (floor, walls, dust, moisture, whatever do you expect from the home in Portugal) was perfect and in best condition you ever can imagine. It was not so hot like it was in Lisbon and not so cold/windy/helly like it can be in Sintra ))
Very cleaned and stylish boutique hotels.
the room was small but everything was equipped and very well maintained.
Breakfast was amazing with vegan, gluten free meals.
if you decide to go to Azenhas do mar , stay here. You just need to walk 5-10 mins to go there anytime. Village is very safe to walk any time during Winter. From the city center of Sintra to hotel, it took 9-10 euro by Uber. But you can take bus as well (every 40 mins).
Superb furnishings and decor of fully equipped studio (small fridge and 2 burners, dishes etc) and the fastest internet we encountered in Portugal. Included a deluxe continental breakfast with fresh fruit salad, freshly baked rolls, and a selection of local cheese and meats, as well as muesli, yoghurt etc. The host and staff were very friendly. Not far from train station, in a quiet neighborhood.
View is great. The property is a little oasis, ? former orchard. you can see the castle and Pena palace from the property. Pool looks good but we did not use it. Beds were comfortable enough, i.e. soft on top ( rarity in Portugal). Breakfast was fairly standard but we loved it - best bread we had in Portugal. We also liked the access to the communal kitchen, although for us it was just for coffee.
You can visit Sinatra or you can experience it. Marmoris Palace is a luxurious boutique hotel with attentive staff in opulent surroundings. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel is 15 min walk from the busy old town. We only stayed 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer. Our family throughly enjoyed the happy hour with local cheeses and cold cuts and the magician was a hit with our kids.
Location was central to town while also being on a side street so it was much quieter. Super cozy bed which was cleaned everyday. Felt more like a hotel then a hostel, which is a plus to me:) lots of amenities, jazz music outside for dinner which was the perfect level of noise. Simple but convenient breakfast and knowledgeable staff. truly one of our best stays in Portugal thus far!
The most lovely room i’ve stay at in a hostel ever. Super clean with a great balcony. António was such a lovely host- made sure to learn and remember everyone’s names and was very engaging. About a 15 minute walk away from the historic center which was great (Portugal, especially Sintra, is extremely hilly so keep that in mind). 10/10
Location was excellent. The room was amazing, especially having the balcony with table and chairs. The bathroom was the best we had in our two week travels through Portugal and Spain. Breakfast was very good, even though we could only have it one morning since we had to leave early for airport. Highly recommend! More than 5 stars!
After some time in Lisbon and then seeing the crowds of Sintra, we enjoyed being away from the craziness of the touristy sights. This place was great for a nice time out resting, enjoying the pool, and admiring the little orchard in the back. Leonore was a very helpful host and served the best morning coffee in the village :)
Quinta dos Lobos' staff were exceptional and very helpful. The historic architecture of the buildings turned-into-a-boutique hotel were very interesting, comfortable and convenient to the sites and features of Sintra and while still providing solitude and privacy in a natural setting. It was an excellent value.
Best breakfast in Portugal, a buffet just for us with homemade products prepared by the friendly owner. Jams, olive oil, tea,... can also be purchased as a souvenir. Beautiful view from the terrace! Good location to explore Sintra's palaces or cabo da roca.
I stay here every time I come to Portugal. This is the best stay in Sintra you can ever have.
Winter garden with free wine is made for Instagram photos.
Breakfast is tasty and they always ask if you want something more
Excellent location. Excellent service. Superb breakfast. This boutique hotel really knows how to look after their guests. 10/10 all the way. Well done Sintra Boutique hotel. I would definitely stay again.
Important : we've been upgraded to another hotel of the same owner, the Sintra Boutique hotel. This is a review for Sintra Boutique hotel but I guess the same stadards about cleanliness, staff are the same
