Comfortable bed, enough extra pillows, easy to find though we were driving in a foreign country. It was also clean and quiet. We did not use the TV. Public transportation was handy and we left our car in their parking lot the two days we were there. A 10€ breakfast was available but we chose to eat elsewhere, so cannot give advice on that one way or the other.

Porto has wonderful charm, character and history.
Porto has wonderful charm, character and history. Friendly locals, lots of places to eat and drink. It’s very easy to get around via taxi, bus, metro or on foot. It’s also easy to visit other towns nearby. I like to think of it as Lisbon’s joyous little sibling (equally as fun as the capital).

Compact city centre with lot to see and do.
Compact city centre with lot to see and do. A lot of hills but manageable.
Lots of restaurants and bars. Shopping and markets are good but a lot of tourist shops as well. Good beach only a short bus metro ride away.Feels safe with police visible on the street. Great and cheap transport system. Locals are friendly and willing to help.
I loved my room! It was like walking into a little oasis. I enjoyed the relaxing area with the sofa and TV with Netflix, the free mini-bar, and the great shutters on the windows that made my room quiet and dark for sleeping and all the special touches that made it like a little apartment away from home. It was all so much more than I expected and will make it my destination whenever I return to Porto. The staff also was super friendly and accommodating. Thank you for making my last days in Portugal and the Camino Portuguese so relaxing!
It's a really lovely hotel - with character yet modern. Is on one of the main central streets and almost everything you may want to do in Porto is within a 10-15 min walking distance from here. Despite being on a busy street, it's actually very peaceful and quiet in the rooms.
The staff however were just exceptional - nothing was too much, they were really friendly and helpful with plenty of suggestions and tips on what to do and what to see around Porto. Was our favourite stay in a 2 week trip in Portugal.
It was our first check-in process (out of 4) in Portugal and it was seamless. We used some Portuguese and some English and it was fine. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, huge variety from 0 carb to max carb, vegan/veggie to carnivore. Best of all was the location; it was pretty much central to everything we did in Porto and exiting the front door takes you on to a pedestrian only street with shops and cafes that is almost always streaming with people.
Everything about this hostel is amazing! The price is extremely reasonable and you even get breakfast included! - the best hostel I have ever stayed in.. it feels more like a hotel than a hostel.
The hostel staff are extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming.
I would 10000% recommended this hostel to anyone that’s thinking of visiting Porto, Portugal. It’s located in the middle of the centre near train station, shops, restaurants and the river front!
The two of us came to discover Portugal for the first time for a week. We loved everything about the hotel. In fact, it is located in the heart of the old town. The room was big enough and comfortable. In particular, we would like to thank António, who gave us recommendations for exploring Porto and its surroundings. Our 1 week vacation felt like 2 weeks because we saw so much and every day was full of surprises.
Antonio is the best ambassador of Portugal. The Booking was created for such persons and approaches to the guest. You do not need five stars boring hotel experiences. You deserve real people of the country you are traveling to. And that is Antonio and his approach to the guests. Simple things which makes people care about smallest but most enjoyable part of every day life.
This hotel was the highlight of our 2 week trip to Portugal. There are not enough words to truly express our fabulous experience at this hotel. From the moment of check-in to departure.Perfect in every way. We had a last minute air cancellation back to US and the night receptionists found flights for us, when Viking was unavailable.
This was the best room I stayed in during our time in Portugal.
Great size, comfortable beds and was very clean.
I really enjoyed visiting the bar on the 17th floor which had a fantastic view of the city.
Hotel was close to the city centre and bars/nightclubs.
Would definitely stay here again, if I ever returned to Porto.
This place was awesome! We stayed at the Mayor’s Apartment for our last few nights in Porto. After a 30 day stay in Portugal, this apartment was by far the nicest, most comfortable, and best neighborhood, during our entire trip. The hostess was exceptional. I highly recommend the Mayor’s Apartment.
The place is DARLING. My room was awesome. The staff was very helpful. The bartender (Daniel) and waitstaff (Bills, was his nickname) were SOOO nice and accommodating! The restaurant is fabulous. The courtyard was lovely. I was traveling solo for this part of my Portugal trip and it was perfect!
An amazing little boutique hotel with beautifully appointed rooms in a central location. The hotel manager and host is the best host I had on
My entire European trip, she was so helpful and it felt I was staying with friends or someone I know. This is more than a 10/10 experience.
The room was very big compared to other hotels we had in Portugal! We loved the little terrace we had (though there was sometimes pigeon poo). Bed was comfortable. Staff very helpful and loved that the reception was 24/7.
Can recommend!
Location was very central, the host was absolutely lovely. We also liked the furnishing and nice touches like beautiful handmade plates from Portugal in the bathroom and kitchen. The room was also very clean and stylish - comfy bed.
The location is perfect and the receptionists were very helpful. Check in was done within 5 minutes, a lot quicker than the other hotels I stayed in Portugal, and they allowed us to check in an hour earlier which was a plus.
Fantastic, very bright and spacious appartment! The rooms are very large, has everything you need. Bonus: a balcony, laundry facilities and even an elevator (rare in Portugal!) Very friendly host, easy to reach.
Staff especially in the restaurant for breakfast (Ana & Sónia) and reception (Beatriz and other front desk staff) were amazing. This is by far the best hotel we have been to in Portugal.
