Nicknamed the Emerald City due to its lush greenery, Seattle is best known for its great waterfront, fantastic skyline and infamous rainy weather. In reality though, the city gets less rain a year than New York or Atlanta!
One look at Seattle’s skyline and you’re immediately drawn to the iconic Space Needle. Standing proudly at 600 feet, this major landmark features a rotating restaurant at 490 feet and has been featured in numerous films and TV shows, including the classic "Sleepless in Seattle."
The Needle isn't far from the popular Pike Place Market, a public farmer’s market selling fresh produce and crafts from local farms and independent merchants. It’s also the place where the Starbucks Corporation was founded in 1971. Enjoy a cup of coffee in their original store!
Seattle has many popular parks and, thanks to its mild marine climate, is a great place for outdoor activities. A visit to Kerry Park to admire the best view of the city with Mt. Rainier in the background is a must!
Arriving at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you’re only about 35 minutes from downtown and whether you’re looking for a hotel with free parking or near the airport, Booking.com has a great choice for your Seattle trip.

It is a beautiful city but unfortunately there seemed to be a lot of "street people" yelling and screaming outside at night. As women travellers we did not feel particularly safe outside after dark. Since we were only there one night, on the way to our cruise we didn't take in many sights but Chihuly Gardens was exceptional. Ubers were always on time when booked ahead.

Beautiful city with excellent views of the snowclad mountains and the attractions around the harbor. However, the area in and around downtown Seattle/Pikes Place Market has a lot of homeless people and at time felt unsafe and very unclean. We are not going back to Seattle in near future.

Lots to do. Went to a Seattle Mariners baseball game. Drove to Anacortes and took the ferry to the San Juan islands. Could have stayed on the island for a few days enjoying the nature. Drove to Mt. Rainier for the day. Beautiful area.

We truly enjoyed our 3 day stay in Seattle - we could've stayed longer but we know we can always come back as it is just a 3 hour drive from Vancouver.
The people we met were all friendly and accommodating. Made a few friends in the process!
Seattle is one of those cities that is meant to be explored leisurely!
We also enjoyed our ferry ride to and back from the beautiful Bainbridge Island.

Pike Place Market interesting to visit but fruit prices over the top way too expensive. Would never buy there again. Did Beneath The Streets underground tour and the tour guide was knowledgeable and informative and factual. Waterfront area views pleasant. We took a taxi from accommodation to sights as it was cheap to do that and go directly to what we wanted to see as the streets were sloped in areas and harder for over 60 yo's to walk. Space Needle was on the to do list and Chulilly gardens but did not have enough time in the 2 days we had. Enjoyed lunch at Buckleys cnr of 2nd Avenue. Great food and value for money. Great service and good atmosphere and decor.

Great city.
Great city. Get the CityPass to enjoy up to 5 of 7 recommended tourist attractions. Stay close to Pike Market as loads of food to eat is around there. Yellow cabs are cheaper than Uber but longer wait time. As with most cities, there are loads of homeless people and many stores are taking precautions against this by limited access to their stores. The Crab Pot is highly recommended for a seafood boil, Icarus’s for clam chowder and the Ponk Door for late dinner.
-Unprofessional and rude front desk staff/ poor customer service
-Restaurant room service took 2 hours and never came.
-Rooms were old and the building itself was one of those "fake nice" hotels where you could tell sleezy things happened but since they have nice furniture it covers it up.
-Good location downtown, close to the waterfront.
-Gym and pool were also good.
-2 stars for the price and the fact we couldn't relax because of the rude treatment and general untrustworthiness of the hotel.
The double room was very clean and comfortable. It was in a great location, convienent to some restaurants, coffee shops and also included a Starbucks next store with access through the lobby. The parking was easy to access and the hotel wasn't too far from downtown and some other Seattle attractions. Could see the Space Needle from the room and rooftop deck. Also, walked to a great little place to eat, the Mecca just a block away.
Everything was clean and beautiful. My family and I were a little bit hesitant about downtown Seattle because of all the bad things that had happened just year and we were not sure if we would be safe, BUT we were so wrong and felt COMPLETELY SAFE, we even walked on the streets of downtown Seattle WITHOUT any threat of safety. I and my entire family would recommend your hotel Hyatt at Olive 8 to anyone coming to Seattle.LOVE IT!!!
This hotel is situated in a safe, excellent location right next to the University of Washington campus. It is also a 5 minute walk to the metro line making it easy to access both downtown and the airport. The hotel and room were clean, comfortable and well equipped. Complimentary water bottles on request were very useful, particularly for short stays. We would happily stay again
The location was fantastic. We got to the hotel by car but once in Seattle, we walked and used public transit to visit the city. It is conveniently located near Pike Place Market, the Monorail and train making it very easy to get around without a vehicle. The underground tour, Chihuli gardens and Pike Place were among the highlights of our trip.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Seattle with restaurants to chose from one street over on 4th Ave. Nordstrom was also one street over. It is within walkable distance to Lumen Field, Pike Place Market and the space needle. I chose to have city views and it was AMAZING. I will definitely stay there again.
The staff here were very friendly and helpful. In our 7 weeks of travel, this hotel had the best shower pressure, nice hot water and the towels were lovely thick bath sheets. The rooftop was a great place to relax in the afternoon sun after a day of exploring downtown Seattle. Would definitely recommend the Belltown Inn
The location of this hotel in terms of center of the downtown Seattle, is perfect. The room was big and had all the basic amenities, especially drinking water bottles, tea/coffee machine. The staff was courteous. Free wine and snacks during happy hours i.e. from 5pm to 6pm was indeed a pleasant surprise and a value add.
The hotel (first time stay for me) was very near Benaroya for our evening concert and that was a big plus and the important attraction for us. It's fairly basic, nothing fancy, but our room (two queens) was spacious and clean and comfortable. Beds very comfortable. Good value for the price in downtown Seattle.
Ideal accommodation in downtown Seattle. Everything was excellent in the room and bathroom was absolutely excellent. Classic decor, all the amenities required, a great en suite bathroom with amazing shower and tub. Most comfortable slippers ever. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Stepping into your room in The Palihotel Seattle feels like you're stepping into a set from a Wes Anderson movie. Great decor and interior design, and a lovely, comfy bed. Well located for everything in downtown and beyond.
Nice, simple boutique hotel in a great central location of Seattle. Short walk to public transit (light rail) and within walking distant to nearby tourist favorites (Pike Place, Seattle Center, & Space Needle)
Location is great! Walking distance from downtown, Lake Union and trendy Capitol Hill. Easy to access from airport by train (1-Line). Hotel has nice little excercise room and an indoor pool to dip in.
This hotel was the best in everyway. It really felt like home away from home. The service, staff, and food was 5 stars. I was totally satisfied and will stay again when we go to Seattle. Excellent!
We've always enjoyed the Baroness Hotel. It's old school Seattle, with easy access to downtown and medical facilities. It's quaint with its wonderful sitting areas off the lobby entrance.
The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Seattle, close to most tourist attractions. The room was very spacious and quiet. The hotel staff are very friendly.
We love the location in Queen Anne, the proximity to the waterfront, downtown and public transportation along with the rooftop deck.... housekeeping was terrific
The Hotel is located very close to Downtown Seattle and Pike Market. Staff was overwhelmingly friendly. I would book this Hotel again if I return to Seattle.
Great location in downtown Seattle. Large hotel, decent facilities. Comfy bed. Pike market Seattle and the first Starbucks were at a short walking distance.
