The room with city view is better than without, because the city view room was bigger. This hotel is new and clean.

Great place for the price. Everything you need and everything is working well. Clean. Fully non-smoking. Great sleep quality. 1 metro stop from Manhattan. Neighborhood looks strange, but we felt us secure while coming back home late night. Closest station - Queensboro plaza on q/n/7. Blue line from jfk takes you to Queens plaza that is 10-12 mins by foot from the hotel. If you are ready to live outside Manhattan - we recommend! Even promised Manhattan view from our room on 8th floor was not only Manhattan ;) - not a problem indeed. And don't rely on breakfast very much - it is very poor, though I usually don't care about such a things. Also breakfast area is tiny, but nobody bothers if you just take the breakfast and come back to you room to eat it.

Rooms were very clean and good quality. Very close to Manhattan (one stop on the subway.) Excellent value, especially for a New York hotel. Breakfast wasn't that spectacular (basically, bagels, doughnuts and coffee.) Also, the neighbourhood was a little bit shady. Not necessarily unsafe, but I did feel slightly uncomfortable at night.

The hotel was amazing. Best place I have ever stayed at in nyc, and I have been going there off and on for 40 years. Seemed brand new with excellent, nice sized, well appointed rooms!! The staff was friendly and helpful. Will be our hotel of choice for future visits to nyc. It is a great place to rest and operate from, but note that there is nothing to do in the neighborhood. The subway system is a reasonable walk away-- about 5 short blocks, but are not handicap accessible and require a couple of levels of stairs. But the metro puts you mere minutes from the center of action in NYC---Times Square, Broadway and off-broadway theatre, etc. We hihgly recommend as your best choice for economical stay in nyc. John and Paulette, May 10-13, 2011 No complaints. It even had free computer access and free wireless access.

It is close to a subway station with direct link to the Times Square. The room we booked was not available, only inferior ones. They offered us an acceptable discount but at check-out came with a higher price again and no manager who could make a decision was available. Only a few tables at the (very small) breakfast corner - most people had to eat standing.

Close to Subway, short distance to timesquare, Room comfortable, view nice. One elevator so at times it was an issue when the cleaning cart was on it. Breakfast is basically bagels and you will need to take this up to your room as there are about 3 tables.

The Hotel was very good on all aspects. It had a guest PC available and free Wi-Fi. The complimentary breakfast was good, although the breakfast area was small a lot of people took breakfast up to their rooms. The view of the Manhatten skyline from our room was great.. The Hotel is a little out of the way although we did not find this a problem as both buses and the metro train to Manhatten is within 5-6 minutes walk.

Location; 5 mins walk to queensboro plaza. Ten min subway to Manhattan. Spotless, modern rooms. Shop only around the corner for water, snacks etc 90 mins to JFK, airtrain to Jamaica, LIRR to woodside and #7 to queensboro plaza. Excellent location, 2 lines to Manhattan. Breakfast was limited, corn flakes, bagels, doughnuts, juice, tea coffee. Grab something and get gone.

Location. Close to Manhattan but without the Manhattan price. Close to subway station which goes straight to Times Square. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a bit chaotic. Only 4 small tables. Food replenished often. Staff happy for us to take food to room but still room too small. But appreciate the effort in providing it

Clean Great views, Close to subway Breakfast adequate Well maintained ( unlike some similar 'chain ' hotels. Reasonable price Quiet. Free WiFi access excellent Good to have wholemeal bread, bananas and a bran cereal- maybe addition of other fruits, muesli and yogurt would improve breakfast Most staff on front desk not very friendly (no welcome or friendly chat). Lack of English a barrier, and also seem to lack training in basic hospitality industry protocols. (evening staff and man who looks after breakfast ok ) . Poor design of foyer area . needs to be bigger to also accommodate breakfast area. Needs extra door / porch area to stop massive energy loss each time doors open. Very poor design as it is. Very noisy airconditioners in bed rooms.

Clean. Just 3 blocks from the subway. Poor breakfast. The payment for the whole stay was charged twice to my credit card. Fortunately, later the extra sum was returned to my account.

Good hotel. Nice location. The surrounding neighborhood is definitely not sketchy by New York standards. It's just industrial. New and pretty clean with a few hiccups. The room was immaculate other than pillow cases that had obviously not been changed. Upon turning the pillows over for the night, I noticed eyelashes and hairs and on the underside. Another pillow had stains. Obviously unacceptable. The "continental breakfast" is bare bones to say the least. Milk, a few containers of cereal, bagels and a coffee machine to serve the entire hotel. The women who service the front desk however, are so flippant and rude that I would avoid staying at what is otherwise a decent hotel.

Value for money was perfect. Location had pros and cons as well. 3 subway stops from Central Park, 6 stops from Times Square. The room was pretty clean with nice view of Manhattan. The area was somewhat dodgy, but we were in nyc on budget. Thus one must compromise in such a case. This was not really hotel's fault.

My reservation for three days was made with two separate bookings. Some confusion at first but sorted. Bed & sheets excellent. No shuttle service to airports. 400 meter walk to ny subway system, but subway excellent & the way to go. Continental breakfast layout tends to create bottlenecks in the morning. On the other hand, good coffee available 24.
