Nicknamed the Emerald City due to its lush greenery, Seattle is best known for its great waterfront, fantastic skyline and infamous rainy weather. In reality though, the city gets less rain a year than New York or Atlanta!
One look at Seattle’s skyline and you’re immediately drawn to the iconic Space Needle. Standing proudly at 600 feet, this major landmark features a rotating restaurant at 490 feet and has been featured in numerous films and TV shows, including the classic "Sleepless in Seattle."
The Needle isn't far from the popular Pike Place Market, a public farmer’s market selling fresh produce and crafts from local farms and independent merchants. It’s also the place where the Starbucks Corporation was founded in 1971. Enjoy a cup of coffee in their original store!
Seattle has many popular parks and, thanks to its mild marine climate, is a great place for outdoor activities. A visit to Kerry Park to admire the best view of the city with Mt. Rainier in the background is a must!
Arriving at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you’re only about 35 minutes from downtown and whether you’re looking for a hotel with free parking or near the airport, Booking.com has a great choice for your Seattle trip.
We had a great time in Seattle. The Museaum of Pop Culture (MoPop) was really fun for all ages. The Space Needle was fun to see. The Chihuly Glass Museaum was gorgeous! Once we parked, we walked from one to the other. Traffic was awful and you have to pay for parking in most locations.

We enjoyed hitting up the Space Needle and the Chihuly...
We enjoyed hitting up the Space Needle and the Chihuly Garden and Glass. We also enjoyed wandering around the Pike Place Market and shops along Pine Street. We took the train down to the International District/ Chinatown and it was easy to figure out even without an Orca Card. There are plenty of buses, monorails, and trolleys around Downtown, and I think it would make those more accessible if you had an Orca Card, though. Another thing, I didn't realize just how hilly Seattle was, so be sure to find appropriate footwear!
I would avoid walking on 3rd Avenue, as it felt unsafe to do so (we were a pair of females,) but crossing the street at 3rd Avenue was not a problem. With that being said, we visited restaurants and eateries on 3rd Avenue that we enjoyed, but we walked 2nd Avenue or 4th Avenue until we got to the turn! (Biscuit B*tch and Shinya Shokudo.)

I have been living here in Washington State since December...
I have been living here in Washington State since December 1999 and Seattle was so beautiful and enjoyable to visit, but over time the city is horrible, looks like a dump, smells like feces and garbage! Buildings look run down and the streets are filled with pot holes, garbage, homeless people and drug addicts! The crime is horrible, my daughter almost has gotten grabbed a few times of being there with us! Rent and prices are sky rocketed etc. Seattle is a horrible place to visit now a days!

Seattle and the Puget Sound area are absolutely beautiful...
Seattle and the Puget Sound area are absolutely beautiful with many things to see and do. It’s fun to ride the ferry over to Bainbridge Island for some unique shopping and then go further West to the quaint Scandinavian city of Poulsbo for more interesting shopping and dining.
The only down side to the Seattle area is the traffic. Since routes are geographically limited, if the main arteries get clogged, you have to pack your patience and sit through the aggravating traffic snarls.

Seattle is a big and bustling city with good public...
Seattle is a big and bustling city with good public transport and a beautiful boardwalk. I loved visiting MOPOP (the Museum of Popular Culture) and the Pike Street Market. The international district seemed pretty cool too, and there were a lot of gigs and shows that were on when I was there.
There seem to be a lot of parks and walks to do.
However there were some places where I didn't feel safe wandering alone, and the city is very dirty. It was also a little expensive, I found.
Great location! Safeway is across the street! Downtown is close. And It is soo cozy, big ,comfortable apartment! Everything is clean and nice. It has everything you need - all kitchen stuff, coffee machine, washing machine, dryer. And parking!
We enjoyed our stay, it was definitely better than any hotel!
For me there wasn't enough lights, but we didn't need to work or do any reading, writing, so it wasn't a big problem.
Also, the owner is very friendly, responded very quickly on all our messages.
where do I even begin.. i booked this property to hopefully be able to tour my family who flew from Asia to Downtown Seattle but instead we ended up enjoying the hotel and its amenities even more! but the most positive experience we had that tops the incredible experience we had was ERIC the front desk who checked us in. nothing short of exceptional and i made sure to let him aware he is the best front desk I have ever encountered my whole life.
The breakfast was expensive, but right next door so convenient (although it took FOREVER to get the simple egg sandwich). Unfortunately, downtown Seattle still has not 'completely opened' after Covid, so luckily we had a car to travel a little bit outside... but that's not the hotels fault! The hotel itself is awesome, clean and customer service was wonderful - next time, we'll have breakfast somewhere else.
Our room, already at a good rate, was upgraded because they had the space! Staff welcoming and helpful with checkin, parking and closeby restaurant information. Elevator was very nice. Location perfect for the purpose of our stay. Restaurant in hotel was very good for breakfast and we enjoyed the menu and atmosphere. Walking distance to waterfront and most other attractions and stores in downtown Seattle.
The hotel is a jewel located in downtown Seattle. A quick walk to the transit station, Pike's Place market is not too far of a walk. There are two restaurants at the hotel (I did not eat there, but they looked good). Staff are friendly and happy to provide local recommendations. The hotel is older but has been nicely renovated, clean and modern. A great price point to stay downtown in the hub of Seattle!
Nice and clean hotel with an adequately sized double room. What makes this property great though is it’s convenient location to Pike Place Market and the Waterfront. just a few blocks of walking will get you to the heart of this prime area to visit when in Seattle. Additionally, if you are taking a cruise they offer a convenient $15/person shuttle to the cruise terminal.
Very clean, looks exactly the same as shown by pics, and all amenities you need were there. Great location and easy to go to downtown, stadium, and airport!
Also the owner was really kind and helpful, he replied all of our questions quickly.(thank you again, Nick:))
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in Seattle, definable better than city hotel.
Rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious, and the hotel is super close to all sorts of main attractions and events. You've got pike's place market, the Seattle Art Gallery, the ferris wheel, the local hockey stadium, amazing restaurants, the waterfront, etc.
I really like the convenience to the different tourist attractions in the Seattle Downtown area. The property looked modern and clean and I truly enjoyed our stay. The facilities were appropriate for the kind of hotel and we enjoyed the gym and sauna.
The location of CitizenM hotel is excellent in downtown Seattle, convenient to all the tourist spots, transportation hubs, etc. The self-check-in and check-out even make staying in this hotel a must for tourists, especially for lone travelers.
Location.. Close to Jazz Alley!! In downtown... Restaurants and entertainment close by. Very good option for a home base to see around Seattle and outlying areas.
Comfortable beds... Linens... Very nice..
City view night or day is amazing...
Interesting and tasteful décor throughout the hotel; very friendly and welcoming desk staff; comfortable room, which matched amenities advertised. The location is terrific for access to Downtown Seattle, Pike Place Market, and Capitol Hill!
The hotel spelt amazing and had wonderful products to use. The beds were very comfortable and the staff accommodated our request for a crib. Close to downtown and a variety of restaurants and attractions!
Location is Hotel Max’s key asset. Took the lite rail from the airport to downtown Seattle and only had a 4 minute walk. Also loved the dark club vibe of the decor.
Perfect location for downtown Seattle, the Convention Centre and "link" train service to the airport
Large bed and very confy, large room.
Clean room on arrival
The staff was very nice. The hotel was well located close to downtown and the Seattle center. The on-site laundry and parking were convenient. Comfortable room.
