The best hotel I’ve stayed at in Vietnam. Excellent location, magnificent rooms, clean and pleasant. But I especially want to mention the hotel staff. Everyone is incredibly polite and pleasant, making you feel at home. Even if any problem arises, they solve it instantly in the best possible way. I stayed there twice and didn’t want to leave each time.

The people are warm and friendly but walking around the city is difficult and tiresome due to the footpaths being full of motorcycles and street venders, and the non stop traffic and its honking horns.

Hanoi is a vibrant bustling city with great food, shopping and of course plenty of culture to immerse yourself in. The locals were friendly, helpful and offered plenty of smiles and hello's. A great location from which to see all the jewels of Northern Vietnam. The cuisine is a smorgasbord of pretty much anything you could ask for especially at night when the streets are crammed with tables, DJs and spruikers, quite a fun spectacle!

Hanoi's streets are narrow and busy.
Hanoi's streets are narrow and busy. Footpaths are non-existent and where they do you cannot usually walk on them because cars and mostly motorbikes are parked on them, or locals are sitting down eating, working or whatever. The city's tourist sights are really interesting, such as the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and its museum. There are many other interesting sights, such as the Hoa Lo Prison, the Temple of Literature, several Pagodas and others. All these sights are must-see and we are glad we did. They charge very low entry fees, or no fees at all (like the Pagodas which are free), and are full of interesting information. Do not trust the taxi drivers because most are out to scam you and we experienced that. It is best to get a Grab taxi if you have the app which can be very helpful. Grab taxis are much cheaper and more reliable. There are some good restaurants but you have to have a taste for the local cuisine. We had been told about the local "street food", but what we saw we did not trust and did not touch. If you have a restaurant recommendation perhaps you should go with that. ATMs are rare but they exist and charge extra fees for withdrawals! Generally people are friendly and can be very helpful. We did not feel threatened but were very mindful of the chaotic traffic! Look everywhere before taking a step! Traffic lights are there for show. No one takes them seriously nor obeys them, particularly the drivers. Pedestrians often gamble with their lives when crossing a street.

I stayed 3 nights in Hanoi but it's not enough especially if you will go for a Ha Long Bay Day cruise. More reasons to come back.
We tried Bún Chả at the Bún Chả Đắc Kim. While it was delicious, they should reduce the quantity of the serving as there is so much wastage. Even the Europeans couldn't finish the servings.
We joined 2 tours - city & food on motorbikes and we loved the experience especially since the weather in Hanoi is milder than in HCMC.
Next time around it would be best to visit during the colder months and do a side trip to Sapa.
The Hanoi Lheritage Hotel was a great base as I explored Hanoi and the north of Vietnam. Conveniently located at the edge of the Old Quarter, I never had a problem being picked up by your buses or taxis. James at the front desk was incredibly helpful and always took good care of me. I had the chance to stay in both a superior room and a suite with balcony. The superior room was small and might be quite cramped for 2 people with large suitcases, but was perfect for just me. It faced the internal atrium and was well sheltered from the noisy city

This hotel was in an amazing location right in the middle of the Old Quarter in Hanoi! It was so nice to be able to walk everywhere we wanted to go!
The staff here were also super, super friendly and helpful!
The complimentary breakfast here was really delicious – a nice mix of Vietnamese and Western breakfast options!
We also booked a massage through the hotel which was fairly priced and really good.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely stay again!
The hotel is fantastic. Our room had a small window and this is a luxury in Hanoi old quarter. The location is perfect, the room was super clean and QUIET, the bed really comfy and the staff was welcoming. Special mention to Justin who made us feel super special. The lady at the reception gave us the best recommendation for Bun Cha. Unfortunaly we couldn't have breakfast because we left too early, and the staff made sure that we had some food to take away. Just brilliant.
I don’t usually ever write reviews but this hotel deserves recognition. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Easily the best hotel in the old quarters. We won’t even consider staying anywhere else in Hanoi in the future. Incredible staff (especially Tommy at front desk). Clean rooms. Nice overall atmosphere. Good breakfast with vegetarian options. Oh and amazing views of the city from the rooftop. Can’t hype this place up enough!
This hotel is located just south of Hanoi's famous Old Quarter - in walking distance of it. We were upgraded to a huge room with 2 bedrooms, a sitting room, and a large bathroom. The room was quiet, cool, and had comfortable beds. The staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good, with great variety and a chef to make egg selections. The elevator doors are painted with Vietnamese scenes and each floor has cool artwork.
Very helpful and kind staff. Nice and clean accommodations. The house keeping also specially made cute dragonfly bath towels and dog bath towels to welcome us. Complimentary hot tea, crackers and bananas were available in the lobby. It's a very sweet and nice treat at the start/end of the day. The hotel is located in the Old Quarter and has very convenient transportation. It is the best way to experience the vitality of Hanoi.
This hotel couldn't be better it's in a perfect location in the old quarter and the rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean.I have stayed in hotels all over the world but the staff here are by far the nicest and most attentive. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The tours they arranged for us were also top class! 5 star service in the Hanoi Lheritage Diamond Hotel we will be back as soon as we can!
This is an excellent hotel located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Its location is perfect for exploring the central part of the city, and its staff are helpful, friendly, and polite. The breakfast buffet is one of the best that we found during our three weeks in Vietnam. The hotel is modern and clean, the WiFi strong, and the TV provides uncomplicated access to Netflix.
The hotel is logistically located in a perfect spot for visiting the old quarter of Hanoi. The staff was the most welcoming and professional that I met in my experience in Vietnam, especially Kim who always seemed attentive to my needs. I will definitely return to this property in the future if I return to Hanoi, I recommend it without hesitation, thanks again.
My husband and I stayed at the Luxury Old Quarter Hotel for 4 nights, our first time in Vietnam. The hotel staff is world class. They helped us with bookings, transportation, etc. They even called our tour company for us when the tour was a little late to pick us up. . If you want the best value, book a stay at this hotel. You will not be disappointed.
it's in the heart of the old quarter, everything is walkable! the hotel staff was amazing and very personable!! i literally been to 5 cities in Vietnam and this staff here is the most amazing people i've ever encountered! Ms. Lee and her team did a great job recommending places in Hanoi to visit and they are such sweet people!! will stay here again!
Great location in the old quarter of Hanoi. The rooms were extremely clean, spacious and light. The staff could not have been more polite or made us feel more welcome. They were the best thing about the hotel. Breakfast was also very nice, a good variety of options from traditional Vietnamese food to western options as well as fresh fruit.
The position was Great, right in the centre of Hanoi's Old Quarter, and the staff was the best, always ready to help. They booked for us all the transfers and a wonderful cruise in Ha Long bay (la Pandora cruise which i highly recommend).
If you come to Hanoi i highly recommend you this hotel!!!
Victor Metropolis hotel is one of Top luxury hotel in Hanoi old quarter that’s some step to lake and night market, hotel located in Hang gai streets ( beautiful streets with gallery shops and silk shops ) was great. We loved their cocktail and foods so much. We’re highly recommend this hotel.
The room and service level is 5 stars for sure. All the staff were attentive and went above and beyond to help us in any way possible. The location is also one of the best in Old Quarter, A minute from Hoan Kiem lake. Totally recommend Hanoi Lheritage Diamond Hotel!
Friendly staffs, nice atmosphere, great service. Breakfast is variety of options for food. Rooms are modern and clean.
The hotel is located in the center between Hanoi old quarters and French quarter.
A little noises from the street but it is not a big problem.
