We used Hanoi Media as a base camp over our weeklong stay in Hanoi and for storing our luggage when we did overnight trips to SaPa and Halong Bay.
As a family, we booked the Family Suite which was a perfect size. The breakfast upstairs was wonderful and they made special Western food on request. The staff members were the best, so kind and warm hearted, we took a group picture when we left.
The location is one block away from the lake, convenient to everything and very clean and detailed. We got a 10% discount in the spa which was convenient having it is the same place.

Fabulous atmosphere..very walkable and lovely friendly people. Most of the food was good but not as good as I thought it would be..some of it was bland. The lake area is very nice and picturesque. I purchased 2x glasses there which were excellent quality. Loved our time in Hanoi.

Old Quarter Hanoi is AMAZING! LOVELY, kind people.
Old Quarter Hanoi is AMAZING! LOVELY, kind people. Stay by the lake, this area becomes a pedestrian area 3 nights a week and is such fun, great night market! lots of Food, restaurants, shopping right out side your door. I would most highly recomend the Le Selva Premium Hotel, amazing place to stay!
We did side trips to Sapa and Ha Long bay, both of which are a MUST see. Lots of cheap, wonderful Massage. Recommend getting a hair wash, 1/2 hour for 4 dollars! Heavenly. Lots of historical sites as well. Also, GET THE COLD COCONUT coffee! at Vi Anh Coffee. THE MOST delicious coffee ever! LOVE YOU HANOI!

The people are warm and friendly but walking around the city is difficult and tiresome due to the footpaths being full of motorcycles and street venders, and the non stop traffic and its honking horns.

Hanoi is a vibrant bustling city with great food, shopping and of course plenty of culture to immerse yourself in. The locals were friendly, helpful and offered plenty of smiles and hello's. A great location from which to see all the jewels of Northern Vietnam. The cuisine is a smorgasbord of pretty much anything you could ask for especially at night when the streets are crammed with tables, DJs and spruikers, quite a fun spectacle!

Hanoi's streets are narrow and busy.
Hanoi's streets are narrow and busy. Footpaths are non-existent and where they do you cannot usually walk on them because cars and mostly motorbikes are parked on them, or locals are sitting down eating, working or whatever. The city's tourist sights are really interesting, such as the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and its museum. There are many other interesting sights, such as the Hoa Lo Prison, the Temple of Literature, several Pagodas and others. All these sights are must-see and we are glad we did. They charge very low entry fees, or no fees at all (like the Pagodas which are free), and are full of interesting information. Do not trust the taxi drivers because most are out to scam you and we experienced that. It is best to get a Grab taxi if you have the app which can be very helpful. Grab taxis are much cheaper and more reliable. There are some good restaurants but you have to have a taste for the local cuisine. We had been told about the local "street food", but what we saw we did not trust and did not touch. If you have a restaurant recommendation perhaps you should go with that. ATMs are rare but they exist and charge extra fees for withdrawals! Generally people are friendly and can be very helpful. We did not feel threatened but were very mindful of the chaotic traffic! Look everywhere before taking a step! Traffic lights are there for show. No one takes them seriously nor obeys them, particularly the drivers. Pedestrians often gamble with their lives when crossing a street.
We stayed in this hotel twice throughout our week and a bit exploring North Vietnam and the team were so helpful and friendly to us. They went above and beyond to help us, letting us check in early, storing our luggage during our Halong Bay cruise and providing a laundry service. The hotel itself is lovely and perfectly located in the Old Quarter. It has a relaxing atmosphere that is perfect returning to after a day exploring the chaos of Hanoi! But really it is the fantastic team that make this hotel such a wonderful stay.
Hanoi Victor Gallery Hotel is one of best hotel that we did to stay in Vietnam. We have beautiful room with nice decor, nice streets view. We did to booked Luxury package tour as : Ha Long bay 2 days 1 night + Ninh binh - Hang mua - trangan eco 1 day was excellent trip with great deal. Hotel location is perfect in heart of old quarter, nice gallery, silk shop next door hotel, close to many nice place. Their staffs was very friendly, nice and polite, elegance. We're highly recommend Hanoi Victor Gallery hotel & Spa ****
We had a wonderful stay with this La Sinfonía in Hanoi. The class of the hotel impacts as soon as you enter the foyer, you just say to yourself...Yes! The hotel and especially our room is spotless. It is perfectly placed in between the old quarter and the French quarter. The best of both worlds. Our Concierge (Rose) is such a beautiful human. Her recommendations for eating and sightseeing were superb. They were places that are not obvious to foreigners so seek them out from her. We are indebted to her.
Absolutely amazing! It’s located in the old quarter in the center of Hanoi. The hotel is quiet and you can’t here all the bustle outside.
The staff are just the very best! Such warm, engaging and attentive individuals. They go above and beyond to ensure all their guests feel right at home. Absolute superstars!
The rooms are beautiful and look exactly like the pictures. Very clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet has quite a number of options and the food is fresh.
Great location and hotel, my partner and i really enjoyed our stay here, staff were very helpful with advice on hanoi, tours, best places to go and gave us a map into old quarter, we were only a short walk from everything.
Breakfast was great along with our room, which had everything we needed, comfortable bed and a nice little balcony to have a look at the street below, would recommend to anyone visiting hanoi, thank you for having us labevie
This is the best hotel in Hanoi. The location was good being in the heart of the old quarter, surrounded by shopping streets and a short walk to a lake. Overall another great stay made possible by their 5 star service led by Ms Kylie who was patient and explained in detail the places to visit in Hanoi. She was also very helpful by giving valuable advise to us.
Thank you San Grand Hotel for the wonderful experience!
Great location in the Old Quarter. The manager was very nice. We met her as we were waiting for a ride after checking out. This hotel had just reopened, so they were short-staffed and doing their best. I'm sure once Vietnam fully reopens and they can hire more staff things will get even better. This is a good street to be on if you want to be in a lively environment. Expect some noise at night anywhere in Hanoi.
We really loved our stay at the Concon House!
The location is perfect as you’ll stay in the best part of Hanoi (near the old quarter and all the good food addresses), but it’s still in a quite environment as the hotel is location at the end of a narrow street with no much passage.
The rooms are very cosy, well decorated and with the necessary equipment.
Staff is very friendly and the rooms are cleaned every day.
Beautiful small hotel. Fantastic location - walkable to all the old quarter sights, the Lake , Dong Xuan Market, Train Street ... The staff were a real highlight of our stay - they were so welcoming and helpful! They can help you with all everthing you need, even giving tips about avoiding potential scams on the streets of Hanoi, best tour package trip to Sapa and Ninh Binh .
I would definitely stay here again.
The Aquarius Grand does what it does well. It is a small hotel, well located in the Old Quarter. Staff is helpful. Breakfast is solid (the noodles, which they cook and serve in the morning, are probably best, and they fried eggs, omelets, fruit, and more as well). If I wetn back to Hanoi, I would not hesitate to stay there again, and would take them up on arranging the tours for me.
Staff was so great and it was in a great location. We were easily able to walk all around the Old Quarter Hanoi. There are tons of food options near the hotel and places to go out. Also there are many touristy sites in walking distance.
The rooftop bar was really great as well and had great views!
The spa was probably the best massage I’ve ever gotten - highly recommend.
This hotel in the center of old quarter was the best hotel we stayed at in Hanoi. The employees are very service minded and interested in helping you on your way. Everything is of a high quality. We slept very well here and also worth mentioning is the breakfast which is varied and fresh. Special mention to Moon and Tom who really made a great impression.
Great location in the Old Quarter of Hanoi close to the Hoan Kiem Lake, restaurants, shops, and a short walk to the French Quarter, opera house and the Water Puppet Show theater. Even though the hotel was on a busy street, the room was quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfy and had all the amenities you could need.
New, cozy hotel in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter. I was on the 7th floor with a very nice view, and seeing everything up high was easy. Breakfast on the 9th floor has a very chill outside . The sunlight is so beautiful. Yogurt is the dish that impressed me the most. Staff are very kind. Ms My does the best of all.
The best part of the hotel is the Staff Jenny and Jimmy need more than 5 stars for their hospitality.
The breakfast staff were very attentive as well and always catered to our requirements.
Location is FAB in the old Quarter walkable to everything.
Thank You for
A wonderful stay
The best about this hotel is its terrific location - just at the very heart of Hanoi Old Quarter so everything whatever you may need is just at the tips of your hand. Caffès, restaurants, places to see and visit, the most remarkable of which is by far St. Joseph Cathedral
Thuc and Phung and the r st of the staff were very hospitable. Great hotel to stay in Hanoi's Old Quarters district. Very clean rooms, nice gym and superb breakfast. Best breakfast I have had in years.
Victor gallery hotel & restaurant is one of best hotel in Hanoi old quarter with exceptional service, lovely- clean room, best location, nice - great restaurant with French food. Best place.
