Venice is a beautiful and amazing city but BEWARE OF TOURISTS AND PICKPOCKETS. We were there in early May, which wasn't even high tourist season yet, but it was overcrowded with tourists shoving and pushing ot get ahead.

Magical place everyone should experience in their lifetime.
Magical place everyone should experience in their lifetime. The coffee shops, the food was excellent although it is difficult in Rome, Florence and Venice to find quality, authentic gelato. I would definitely pay the extra of water taxi from train station and to the airport. Prepared to be lost in Venice, the side streets are easy to miss so be patient with navigation.

It was great to stay on Giudecca island and go over with the ferry yo San Marco and surrounding areas each day, this way we had the hustle and bustle during the day but had peace and quiet in the morning and evenings.
Venice is absolutely gorgeous and would have needed a full week to see it all but only had 3 days.
Go off the beaten track like the Jewish quarter and the edges of further islands - less tourists flashing phones and even better food!
Do not leave without having cicchetti with prosecco:)

Venice is unlike any other city, it is magical.
Venice is unlike any other city, it is magical. It gets very crowded during the day in the main tourist areas but it is always easy to dodge down an alley and get away from the crowds. Also, if you are staying in the city the evenings are much less crowded and it is even more romantic. Make sure you visit the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello, with the cathedral in Torcello being the highlight with amazing ancient mosaics. So much art, both classical and modern, superb museums, beautiful churches. Don’t worry about the cost of eating out, there are many restaurants to choose from and many have reasonably priced menus. Also pizza is cheap and delicious.

We went to Lido Beach instead of Murano Island. the nearest station to our apartment is Accademia . This route ( Lido to Accademia, B line 1 route) gave us a full tour of Venice from the Adriatic Sea to its port and in to the Grand Canal seeing the whole of Venice from the water , the day pass €25 /pp is all worth it .
My second stay was at the Le Isole Hotel in Venice. Amazing breakfast (maybe even the best you can get in hotels in all of Italy of hotels of 3-star level), cleaning services, and very kind staff. The hotel is just in the center of Venice, a few steps from St Marco and it is super easy to get to the airport and back with the ferry which goes from the Venice airport because the station is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Very calm, even if it's in the center, with clean rooms and good room service. I will be back again for sure!
The hotel was in a good location near St. Mark's Square but not in the middle of it, so there was not a lot of outside noise from the tourists. It had air conditioning which was fantastic, as places in Italy, sometimes do not. There was a nice variety of food and drinks for breakfast. The staff was friendly and very helpful when it came to finding our way around and which ferry/boat to take to get to different places. All in all, a good stay at Domus Ciliota.
The property is excellent! The view is so amazing that it was hard to leave the apartment to sight see. It is centrally located. It is also a historic location and very cool to stay is the same place Marco Polo grew up in.
The host Claudia made the stay extra special. When planning for this trip to Italy, I was not interested in visiting Venice. Now I am planning my next trip to Venice to stay at this property thanks to Claudia and her family.
this hotel was amazing. It was the first stop on my honeymoon in Italy & did not disappoint. finding the hotel was extremely easy from the train station. I didn’t have service - nor had ever been here & it was very quick and easy to find. our first room didn’t have a working AC and they switched us immediately to a room that did. the staff was amazing, the breakfast was amazing & the location was amazing. i would def recommend this property!
Luca was fantastic, good directions and the location was excellent, awesome view of the canal with boats going past, felt like Venice! Responsive helpful host gave us clear instructions when we had an issue with the AC not working - fixed it quickly. The room was quiet at night but bed was very hard (but so is every bed we've slept in so far on our 5 weeks in Italy) - Lucas place had a great atmosphere but was lacking a little extra.
The hotel is located in a great location; specifically, in the upper scaled shopping district with great restaurant options nearby. This was one of four hotels we stayed at in Italy and by far had the best breakfast and only hotel to have a gym and spa (although limited). The interior was very unique, but the room was large and had a canal outside the window.
Great location on the canal. The owner, Jennifer, was lovely. She was very informative and recommended a restaurant that we would have just bypassed. It turned out that it was the best meal we ended up having in our whole stay in Italy.
Our flight home wasn’t until late but the hotel allowed us to store our bags at the property.
The First thing is Its Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel have a good location, not far from railway station and piazzale Roma, Also It was a very quite part. Very spacy room for Venice. Also bathroom is very normal size not for Venice, but for italy :) . Breakfast was good.
Shortly- our stay In This Hotel was very good
The location is very close to the bus and train station. The hotel is nicely decorated. Out of all the hotels we stayed in Italy this one had the most comfortable bed. The staff were amazing! They even prepared a box breakfast to take with us to catch a very early morning flight.
This is such a stunning hotel. The room was my favorite out of all the cities we visited in Italy on our honeymoon. The staff, breakfast, bar, room design and location were absolutely perfect. I would have stayed our whole vacation if I had know about this gem.
Beautiful stay in Venice! We had a room overlooking the canal and it was breathtakingly beautiful. The hotel is located in a good spot, close to everything. The breakfast is delicious and has a lot of variety. Room is small but that’s to be expected in Italy.
Fantastic location in Venice, my favourite hotel out of our 2 weeks in italy. Really big space with perfect air con. Loved the location for exploring Venice.
Staff were very friendly and thought the price was super for a touristy spot in August. Fab!
The convenience of this location for my parents was incredible. They really liked staying there and being so close to the train gave them an opportunity to fully explore. They really enjoyed staying at this hotel for their surprise Italy trip.
I was impressed! It was the best place in my 10 days trip in Italy. It is the best place to visit Venice by public transport. Private parching in the house backyard. Very clean and good personal. Great breakfast too! I recommended.
We loved the ease of getting into the room, the breakfast was great. It was in a mellow neighborhood for Venice with plenty of great restaurants in the hood. Gianluca was THE BEST host we have had on our 5-week tour of Italy.
The staff is very friendly and nice. And the facilities are what we expected. The location is one of the best in Venice, Italy. The prices are reasonable. Comfort at the property. Enjoyed there.
Thank you for everything.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got a lot of useful information. The hotel is very close to a lot of sights such as Rialto bridge and St. Marcus square.
It was one of the best breakfast I ever had in italy.
the breakfast was great, everything you need is given, Really the best one we had in Italy
the rooms are very clean
we can absolutely recommend the hotel
the station for the vaparetto is directly in front of the hotel
Great central location and close to the Biennale (Giardini and Arsenale). Beautiful rooms, bar, lounge and breakfast room. Spectacular garden area behind the hotel. The best breakfast in Italy!
