We know Malvern very well, visiting it for many years. We visited the Morgan factory and had a wonderful tour highly recomend to any visitors to Malvern. The theatre has lots of plays, films etc., The Abbey church is a wonderful building everyone very welcomiing. Plenty of places to eat, but if you do not want to eat in the hotel it would be good if the Abbey Hotel coulld give some indication of places that serve food in the evening. some of the pubs do not.

Before visiting we were not aware that Malvern was made up of various different areas so it took us awhile to find our way around. Great Malvern has some lovely shops and cafes/restaurants. Although we only had time to do a short walk the ease with which you can leave the town and walk the Malvern Hills was also a bonus. We primarily came to Great Malvern to visit the RHS Spring Festival which is held on the showground on the edge of the town.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I forgot an English plug and I could borrow one straight away. The 1-person room was as comfortable and nice as a normal room, not some tucked-away humble room. It was also very quiet at night. The breakfast was delicious. I loved that you could choose your eggs dish rather than having to take it from the buffet. The buffet was modest but varied. I also had diner in the hotel - it was up to standards. Last but not least: free parking.

A perfect location in Great Malvern, close to the theatre, restaurants and the abbey. The hotel was lovely and warm, although it was bitter cold outside. Our bathroom was newly refurbished. The bar is cosy and serves a variety or real ales to residents and locals, and the dinner menu looked interesting, but we had plans elsewhere so we didn’t try it.

Staff were really nice and accommodating given my work schedule and how late I would be getting in. I couldn’t make breakfast as I had to leave early but room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet even by the road side. Parking just outside hotel feels safe as vehicle is in eye view of room and off road.

The age gives character and space which is missing from modern hotels. No matter how comfortable the bedroom, there are times we need to sit, chat, have coffee or read. This hotel offers those spaces with comfortable seating.
