The proximity of restaurants and other convenient stores was positive. However, from a young receptionists who doesn'even smile to the old looking and dirty rooms were all trash.
The Post Office would bring my mails to the receptionist inly to be told that they didnt know anybody by name so they returned 3 packages back. This hotel doesn't qualify to be in the United States. So disappionting.

Why were there so many taxes. Is it just the Ramada Hotel?
Why were there so many taxes. Is it just the Ramada Hotel? Why is there a hotel tax and a room tax in addition to city and state taxes? I did not incurr hotel and room taxes a year ago at a Holiday Inn in Queens.

Queens is more modern and you have plenty of choices for food. I'm an Asian and the food in Queens are little bit different than Chinatown so really depends on the preference.
One thing I do notice are Queens has more Malls, big malls so is easy to shop for clothing. And also the hotel cost and parking are little bit cheaper than downtown. If you don't mind to take metro, Queens are good option.

There is a lot to do, many options to spend your day.
There is a lot to do, many options to spend your day. Hotels are close to the Airport- minutes away. However, everything is expensive, we came from spending a few days in Cleveland and everthing in Queens was more expensive, especially food.
The front desk person Misty(?), she was wonderful. We took the shuttle (free to/from JFK) and when we walked in we were met with a huge smile and a welcome. I needed a few things from the area and she was very helpful suggesting where to go. It's a little loud since it is so close to the airport. I would stay again.
The BEST part was when we returned to this same hotel 8 days later the minute we walked in she said hi and asked how our trip to Italy was. SHE REMEMBERED US! You can't beat that. Well Done
The location of this hotel is excellent, the nearest subway station is just 1-2 minutes walk with great access to Manhattan and in addition, there is a direct connection to JFK/AirTrain Jamaica station. We had our room cleaned every day and got bottled water refilled each day. Breakfast was tasty and the stuff was super nice, you can leave your luggage after the check-out for free in their storage room. The rooftop terrace had a great view of New York skyline. Would definitely stay again.
The Hilton JFK was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. I trusted the 'Hilton' name but it turned out to be a Motel 6 in disguise. The staff was rude and unfriendly and the room was dirty. There was so much noise I could not sleep. The bathroom was dirty and water in the bath tub took forever to drain. Food at the restaurant was terrible. I was so freaked out I wanted to check out and move to another hotel but could not find an available room elsewhere. I would never stay there again.
The view from the rooftop was a beaut! The location was great - very close walk to a few subway stations. There's also a grocery store plus a brewery nearby. The room was pretty basic but it had the necessary amenities. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was more than what we expected. Long Island City was really nice and we will definitely stay at LIC hotel again. If you're driving, they have their own parking lot with an extra fee as well.
The hotel is pretty close from the Line F Subway station 21st Street–Queensbridge, about 7-8 mins by walk. The room was pretty small, however the bed was comfortable, the room was pretty okay for the price. It had all the stuff we needed: coffee machine, microwave, decent fridge, hair dryer. I'd suggest this hotel if you are on a tight budget, and you'd rather spend your money on experiences, food etc. in NYC.
I had booked a double and asked if we could change to a twin when my mate didn't want to share a bed. They changed us to two queens for no extra cost. Absolute legends!! Room was massive, great TV selection, shower and bathroom were on point. Beds were super comfy and warm. We didn't use the food facilities but they looked great and you could order food to the hotel so that was a bonus.
- The position of the hotel - it is very close to Manhattan. Simply walk for 10 minutes to the subway station (21st Street-Queensbridge) and you'll be two stops away from exciting Manhattan (Lexington Avenue-63rd Street).
- The WiFi is also reasonably fast and easy to use.
- The staff has been generally quite nice (note that the word 'nice' does not necessarily mean helpful).
The receptionist was friendly, hotel located between Train E, F and Train 7, so it was convenience to Manhattan or Flushing. My room faced highway, the view was good. You could hear sounds but not noisy. The room was clean and adequate. Free breakfast only from 6:30am to 9:00am, so watch out you may miss.
clean hotel, amazing staff Dean the manager was really helpful, by mistake of booking we booked a room for three but hotel doesn’t have facilities for three so at the end the manager tried to help us as much as he could, hotel near subway, is an industrial area no too much to visit there
Garry, at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. The hotel was clean and was at perfect distance from the JFK international airport. I recommend this hotel to everyone looking for a comfortable and value for money stay in Queens.
The amazing breakfast was the cherry on top.
The location was great. 5 minute walk from the Subway. Many restaurants in the area, some open until midnight. The staff is professional and attentive. Special thanks to Emma at the front desk.
Breakfast was buffet style, good selection. This hotel is my favorite in Flushing.
Location is great - not more than 5min on foot to subway (Queensbridge station, has elevators so easy to use with luggge).
Hotel and furniture is new and really clean.
Small market just around the corner, grocerie store 10min by walk.
I booked way in adwance so price was ok.
I needed a place to stay for 4 nights while my friend and I explored New York and attended a concert at Madison Square Garden. The Flushing Hotel provided affordable accommodation close to a subway station which meant that getting into and out of town was straight forward.
Long Island City was a nice area to stay in. The lobby of the hotel was well maintained. The bathrooms were up to date and the bed was comfortable. The cleaning staff were lovely and helpful but the front desk staff seemed annoyed by the guests. Rooms were clean..
Clean, spacious rooms, cool views of the bridge. Hotel hosts a lot of parties it seems but it didn't disturb the noise levels in our room. Easy to access midtown Manhattan via car/taxi, Long Island City has lots of nice small restaurants, parks, and views.
Overall everything was good. Price was also better when you are compared to other hotels around as New York is heavily expensive. Front desk lady was so kind and they will give you the services at their best. My overall stay was very good.
Hotel was beautifully laid out (tiling, wallpaper, etc). Bed was magnificently comfortable. In a quiet location; there aren't many hotels in that part of Long Island City, so this place was great to find.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Jamaica Station, making traveling to and from the hotel very accessible and convenient. Beds are comfy, aircon works fine. Bathroom was clean when we arrived.
The hotel is clean and in a good location in Long Island City - close to the subway & there are restaurants, bars & convenience shops in the neighborhood.
