Very traditional hotel with lots of charm. All of the staff were very polite, welcoming and professional. Free parking definitely a bonus. Choice for breakfast was fine and cooked very well. Nice to have the same table each day. Our room was in the adjoining Coach House alongside the busy main road, but we had no issues with traffic noise. The room was spacious with ensuite large bathroom, plenty of fresh soft towels and loads of drawer and wardrobe storage. Tea and coffee supplies in the room with premium brands. TV fairly modern so able to access catch up services. No issues with Wi Fi quality at all. Lovely cosy residents lounge with open log fire in the main hotel.
This boutique hotel is located alongside the A429, a minute’s drive from the charming market town of Stow-on-the-Wold. In the heart of the Cotswolds, it has free Wi-Fi and free parking.

Such a caraterist historical little village, with an enchanting and peaceful feeling. Every corner, and every building, is so picturesque and deserving photos. Our main meals were at the Stow Lodge Hotel, food quality superb and good value for money. Loved the antique shops and local cafes.

Pretty little Cotswold town with lovely honey coloured stone everywhere.
There is free parking at the local Tesco supermarket, five minutes walk from the town. The town square has is very spacious and also has parking.
If you like coffee and beer, you are in for a treat. There is an abundance of tea and coffee rooms as lots of decent pubs, including the Porch Inn which claims to be England's oldest.
The townhall is worth a visit as it has a very elaborate upstairs hall.
Make sure you get a photo of yourself stood by the two Yew trees that grow at the front door to St Edwards Church - very iconic.
Lots of National Trust properties nearby too.

Stow on the Wold itself, is a typical example of some of the beautiful Cotwolds towns and villages. Plenty of pubs and restaurants to suit all budgets and good for shops. A great location for walking to other lovely Cotswold towns and villages such as Bourton on the Water and the Slaughters. Also a good location for exploring further afield by car.

Especially the Queens Head pub at the end of the square. Landlady Anna and the bar staff Eva really looked after us and we had a great dinner there.
Another tip is the famous Scott’s of Stow kitchen shop and their outlet store full of bargains upstairs.

This place is just LOVELY! It is a well appointed room, with a private entrance, attached to Sarah and Alex's home and garden. We were very comfortable and felt safe in the nice neighborhood. The location is PERFECT because you are within walking distance to Stow on the Wold or to countryside walking trails. The hosts are just wonderful! We decided to have a home cooked breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it and the company! Sarah was very helpful with suggestions about the local area also!
The food was excellent and service to match. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Location is right in the heart of the picturesque Stow on the Wold among loads of very nice places to eat and drink. I would highly recommend this hotel. Epilepsy who live in the North West of England may conveniently choose the Lake District but for the slightly longer travel time to the Cotswolds is worth it. Really great hotel in a great location
We were made to feel very welcome and the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff was outstanding.
The breakfast was excellent and served in a timely manner despite the hotel being full.
Parking was good.
In fact I cannot understand why this is rated as 3 star as we stayed in 4 start hotels that were not as good.
Being able to relax on a business trip is a must.
The friendly owners. Breakfast was amazing! The sourdough pancakes are a MUST. Really good location to get to the surrounding Cotswolds villages but tranquil and pretty on the farm. The room was lovely and really appreciated the little touches ie using nice mugs and the cookies in the room. We only went for a weekend but could happily have stayed longer!
This was such a charming room in an old building in the center of Stow. It's decorated beautifully, quirky and fun, and we loved the spa bathtub. Clifton manages the restaurant and hotel with great care and has an eye for perfection. He was lovely to speak with. Highly recommended for a couple.
This property is a real gem. The historical building is beautiful and made us feel like locals. It is in the heart of town and is a perfect place to explore the Cotswolds from. We loved the goodies the host left for us. These thoughtful touches were so appreciated after a long week of travel.
Absolutely gorgeous hotel steeped in history. Beautiful, cosy room with lovely village view. Friendly, helpful staff and great bar/restaurant. Wonderful location close to all the restaurants and shops of delightful Stow-on-the-Wold and perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds.
The location is fantastic and the hotel itself is what you would want form a Cotswolds property, Food was good although we had to go to another bar for a drink as there were no tables available for a pint early evening. There are good pubs in walking distance though.
The old stocks inn was a beautiful stay ! Perfectly located, it was clean, spacious and gorgeously decorated. The owners are incredibly accommodating and friendly as well as having a lovely little cocktail bar to visit in the evenings.
Lovely spacious & well equipped 2 bedroom apartment right in the heart of Stow on the Wold. Facilities were exceptionally clean and manager Daniel was very responsive to pre-travel questions.
Te location could not be better. The availability of free on site parking. The rustic charm was fitting for the Cotswolds. And the staff were all pleasant and accommodating
