Vancouver is an outdoorsy city ranking among the world’s most livable, sheltered by Vancouver Island and the Pacific Range mountains. The most famous peak, Grouse Mountain, is a favorite spot for hiking and skiing. Take the cable car up for magnificent views of the city's skyscrapers and huge Stanley Park.
Skirting this park is the Seawall, a popular biking trail with paths passing the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic spots and a pitch and putt course. There are also a couple of beaches, but the best ones are along English Bay in Kitsilano.
Granville Island is just across False Creek from Yaletown and houses some quirky shops and markets. Ferries depart from here to near BC Place Stadium and home field of the city’s football and soccer teams. The legendary Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play next door at Rogers Arena.
With the largest Chinatown in North America, Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver and is near the Canada Place cruise ship terminal.

I love this cosmopolitan city!
I love this cosmopolitan city! The population is so varied, and you can see how this has turned the city into a fascinating place with a multitude of interesting art, dining options and stores. The public art is fantastic and people are very kind and peaceful. While there is a lot of traffic, the drivers mostly remain unruffled. You can get around the city easily by public transportation or various kinds, like subway, bus, water taxi, etc. There are a lot of things to do and see, from planetariums and art museums, to shopping, live music and relaxing.Guest review byHill - 10.0

Vancouver is great city to be in. Lot of places to visit around. I highly recommend people who like travelling should visit this place and experience what all it has to offer. Must visit places - Waterfront, Downtown beaches, Lona beach , Kristilano, Whistler, Victoria , Mountains (Cypress and Grouse). Must experience - Canada Flyover at waterfront, Sea bus, Cruise for Victoria, Shopping at Tsawwassenmills, Whale watching and City tours. Great city.
Great city. Plenty to see and do, with easy access to the mountains. Whale watching, float plane tours, high level revolving restaurant, Stanley Park, Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge and much more. Eating out is very easy, whether in Gas Town, Davie Street, English Bay, Granville Island, or other places. We stayed in the Atrium hotel, on East Hastings and public transport was plentiful and cheap. There is an unfortunate visual problem with homeless and addicted people on West Hastings, but this did not affect us directly.Guest review byNickUnited Kingdom - 8.0

You can do Vancouver in 3 or 4 days. If you fly in, the Skytrain can take you all the way to the Waterfront. Think of Victoria in its own time window due to the length of travel time.) I enjoyed Stanley Park, the beaches, the Aquarium (closes early), Chinatown especially Dr Sun Yat Sen Park, the Vancouver Museum, Gastown shopping and Restaurants!!! Most of the tourist attractions were within show distance and could be accessed via buses, trains, walking, and tour companies. The on/off shuttle bus was very convenient and easy to use! if you are a foodie freak, there is a huge variety of cuisine to choose from. This Fairmont in Downtown Vancouver is quite old and you can hear voices of people walking in the hallway. Doors has big gap in between the floor and the door which is why you can hear all voices of people in hallway. Not highly recommendable especially if you value privacy and quite time. This is the only Fairmont i've been so far that did not meet my expectation. First and last for this branch.
