Had a wonderful lunch at The Castle Inn. Dog friendly too which was a bonus. Great value meal. A good variety of shops in Bakewell including a fabulous store for dogs - Barks & Co who give great service. Had a take out from Raja’s at our holiday let in Upper Haddon. Very tasty! Bakewell is a very pretty place with lots of traditional shops and cafes, buildings made of traditional stone - very picturesque and nice riverside walks. Bakewell was beautiful.
Bakewell was beautiful. A beautiful little village with lots to see and do. Whether it be browsing the good variety of shops or strolling along the river or enjoying time in the recreational park. Lovely facilities to make a meal or enjoy a coffee and breakfast before heading out (but also very close to a great café - Lead Tin Yellow). Even though it’s on a main road, it’s very quiet inside and it doesn’t disturb a peaceful night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed.
