Very friendly staff ...Although the room was a bit dated it was a Large room with a big shower. Great water pressure even though we were on the third floor. Comfortable beds,had 2 great nights sleep. Breakfast was very good . Also Sunday Lunch in the restaurant. Will definitely return.

Very clean room which had everything I needed and was lovely and warm. Staff were friendly, attentive and professional. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.

Sally was an amazing hostess. The house and accommodation are top-notch. Our experience was beyond impressed from before we arrived and well after we left. Sally provided great food suggestions and helped us get reservations when we were unable to. This is a very peaceful, wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone. The breakfast was some of the best food I have had. All is healthy and home cooked.

Everything, location, 3 cafes in the most beautiful village, one visit to the museum provides complimentary annual pass. Museum immediately beside the pub. Could have stayed longer to explore, even though we have travelled frequently to the area.

The area is excellent for walking with several footpaths virtually from the door. The New Inn is about 50 yards from the property, serves good food and beers from it's own on-site brewery, which is also open to the public. The Blacksmith's Arms in Lastingham (3 miles) and The Coach House in Rosedale Abbey (5 miles) serve excellent food daily.
