Gosport had BIG BIG naval history.
Gosport had BIG BIG naval history. Few realise that Gosport side of Pompey harbour was as vital as much famed Portsmouth side. There is a great deal of heritage to see plus some lovely warm and not too busy beach walks. Plus it was scene for Doctor Who banking the sixties on Haslar Wall when the famous Yetis came out of the sea add to that the submarine museum the sea wall no one has seen and the history from WW2 it’s a great place to visit. I cannot say anything about Gosport.
I cannot say anything about Gosport. The hotel is south of the town in a quarter called Anglesey. What I learned is that in the 18th century a business man fulfilled his own version of the city of Bath. There certainly is a crescent that is based on the famous crescent at Bath. Gosport is pleasant.
Gosport is pleasant. The area around Spring Garden Lane Apartments has some lovely houses, a beautifully converted rail station, green open areas. We ate at The New Benghal Indian restaurant. We also lunched at The Gosport Cafe. Both were very good.
