Hucknall is on the tram system which has a direct line into Nottingham, public transport is very good, buses frequent, and this saves having to stay in the city which is about 6 miles to the south. The hotel was at the end of the street where my friend lived and was also the venue for her wake so it was very convenient. The staff were very accommodating and let me leave my suitcase in the secure office while I went to the funeral, and to collect it after the wake.
