Busy and interesting little resort, plenty of shops, bakeries, cafes, restaurants, a fossil museum, and fossil shops where you can buy bits of "Jurassica;" there are lots of the common ammonite-types for sale, but there's also bigger stuff like fossilised shark teeth. Naturally beautiful place, very clean for being a busy little seaside town. Loads of lovely cool little shops and arts and crafts. Great variety of cafes and restaurants. Culture and history with Jurassic coast etc. Great spot. And great little mini aquarium. There are a lot of hills, bear this in mind. And windy streets that can result in bit of traffic congestion. It was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed and more. Only a short easy walk along the river into Lyme Regis. David and Angela were welcoming friendly and thoughtful. They went out of their way to give us a lift to and from the Alexandra Hotel for our Afternoon Tea which was very kind of them.
