Busy and interesting little resort, plenty of shops, bakeries, cafes, restaurants, a fossil museum, and fossil shops where you can buy bits of "Jurassica;" there are lots of the common ammonite-types for sale, but there's also bigger stuff like fossilised shark teeth. Naturally beautiful place, very clean for being a busy little seaside town. Loads of lovely cool little shops and arts and crafts. Great variety of cafes and restaurants. Culture and history with Jurassic coast etc. Great spot. And great little mini aquarium. There are a lot of hills, bear this in mind. And windy streets that can result in bit of traffic congestion. Room was a good size and comfy. Relaxation areas were nice as well. Excellent outdoor pool area too. Breakfasts and dinner were excellent. It's handily placed pretty much halfway between Charmouth and Lyme Regis, and on the South West Coast Path. You need to be fit though if you want to walk to either as the climbs back are quite steep.
