Ryde is a great place to visit.
Ryde is a great place to visit. The beach is particularly beautiful and has very pleasant walks along its length with lots of places to visit. There are also plenty of buses so if like me you don’t drive or as an alternative to driving, you can get to practically anywhere on the Island. Ryde is an historic town with many interesting buildings.
Ryde is an historic town with many interesting buildings. An amazing and unusual pier allowing both cars, train and pedestrian access to the end without being bombarded by gaming machines etc. Wide selection of shops. The main High St. is part pedestrianised but a timed closure of the rest to the seafront would improve the shopping experience and safety. If time permits walk around some of the back streets. Good location to travel down to south east coastline and to Newport. Tesco Extra nearby was very useful. Ryde is very nice.
Ryde is very nice. Not much to do but there is transport to other places. Some of the public houses on the sea front are abit rough. Nice coffee shop in high Street the wonky goat and a nice B & B called the boat house near puckpool park. It has a bowling ally which was good. Location on the Esplanade was exceptional, and was very close to the centre of Ryde for access to shops and eateries. It is in an older property, but for it's age, it was in good condition. Staff were friendly and helpful, helping to carry bags to and from the car at the back of the annexe on the other side of the road to the main hotel.
