Located between Florence and Siena, Hotel Primavera is in the Chianti wine district and is surrounded by hills, medieval hamlets and churches, vineyards and woods. Family owned hotel, they were all very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and cleaned everyday, they even upgraded us to a room with a balcony. The breakfast was also ok.

If you just want to stay in a lovely farm place it~s right, if you want to stay in midle of Toscana will be perfect. Just remember this is a farm family place - will all advantages from lovely people.
The area of Barberino di Val d'Elsa is very beautiful. A hilly area with narrow winding roads and lots of cyclists not good if you are a nervy driver, It was about an hour and a half from Pisa where we arrived and we stayed a couple of nights in Pisa before we went to the area where the wedding was taking place, Pisa was great and we also visited another medieval walled town called San Gimignano which was also great. The actual town of Barberino etc is also medieval but there was free parking and we had a couple of lovely meals there, In fact we never had a bad meal or snack or gelato during our visit. You can get to Florence by train from Pisa very cheaply and also Rome. Public transport is efficient and clean and not expensive. There is a congestion charge for cars in Pisa and Florence but certainly Pisa is easy to get about on foot even if you are not as fit as you ought to be.
I was there for wedding in the area so did not use the pool or stay at the B&B other than the nights. Lovely place, bear in mind that at this time they only accept cash payments though. The B&B is not a walkable distance from towns - you need a car. This is very much the same everywhere in Tuscany other than the cities. As above, I was at the wedding venue for 3 days and only slept in the B&B, but by all accounts it is a lovely, friendly place.
Nice village in the Chianti area. Ideal place to have a rest, some walks through the hills or a couple of day trips to San Gimignano, Certaldo, Volterra and Monteriggioni. Even if it's very small, the old center of Barberino is nice to walk through and have a wine or a dish of Pici all'Aglione in a local restaurant.
The accommodation is absolutely beautiful. The residence is a renovated castle. The bedroom was small but lovely. It as well equipped with a very comfortable bed. Outside the bedroom are sitting rooms with the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in. If you are interested in staying in Tuscan countryside with breathtaking scenery between Sienna and Florence and Pisa in the middle of Cianti region, stay here. It is set amongst vineyards and farms with lovely restaurants nearby. Breakfast was awesome. And a great swimming pool and surrounding area. The gardens are beautiful.
Incredible views, convenient location near lots of Tuscan attractions and very modern rooms and facilities. The hosts were very knowledgeable with great recommendations that made our trip. We can’t wait to go back one day!
We stayed here long time ago. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Charming farmhouse in a middle of vineyard. Pool is a nice addition for our children.
