We used Empoli as a base as the train station offered many possibilities as a central hub. We did however really enjoy a lovely walk in the scenic hills. The center was clean and had a really nice vibe to it and the locals were very friendly. We were also told by a historian that the city had a good museum of art although we didn't have time to investigate further unfortunately due to time.Guest review byBarker - 8.0

The apartment was lovely and very comfortable. The surroundings had lovely scenery and the nearby town was vibrant. Public transportation was quite a challenge and getting a taxi was not much easier. You can get most places by walking but if you have mobility issues you will struggle. I would definitely stay again though, very nice place! 😁Guest review byAC - 10.0

A gorgeous authentic Italian town just outside Florence with great train routes to Siena, Lucca, Pisa and Cinque Terre. It's the perfect location if you're planning to have a Tuscan base to explore the area but don't want to pay Florence prices.
