It is a romantic city.
It is a romantic city. But going alone for just you is different. I highly recommend going with people but if you like to meet people I would prefer to meet at bars or attend a social setting to get acquaint with everyone. I recommend Duomo for the first time but after do some terrace sight seeing. The Roof of Milan is beautiful and have a romantic setting. Definitely the place to go for a beautiful view of the city at night. This was our first time in Milan and we were pleasantly surprised. There is so much to see with the beautiful Duomo and other sights. There is an excellent transport network with trams and metro and buses. Make sure to do any shopping before coming to Milan as Milan is full of exclusive top brand shops, so nothing is cheap. Summer is not the time to visit Milan. A lot of the attraction sites were under renovation and a lot of stores closed for the month of August.
