I loved the bed and the large TV that connects to our phone and Netflix, without the hassle of having to log in or out. The Rooms vibe and design is truly fabulous. The shower has hot towels and plenty of fragrant body wash and shampoo available for guests. The reception area is also very stylish and elevated. The room is clean and cosy! Would definitely recommend!

The location was well placed for us, and it was easy to jump on the main tram. I cannot emphasize this enough. We should have stayed more nights. For the same price as some central accomodations you get to sleep on a boat. Cleanliness was top notch, and everything on the ship was well put together and design wise spoke to each other. Staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast area is beautiful. The bathroom looks amazing. You will not see such tiling in real buildings.

FAQs about hotels in Edinburgh

A Feast for the Senses

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.

The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.

Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.

For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

Edinburgh feels like a dream, from the lovely restaurants and delicious food to the beauty and cleanliness of the city. We enjoyed amazing walks around the city and visited some wonderful museums too. Absolutely in love with this city! ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 I would definitely recommend Holyrood Park, Camera Obscura, Edinburgh Castle and the Nelson tour. Each offers a different way to experience this amazing city.

I love Edinburgh.

I love Edinburgh. This trip was about the Fringe, which was very busy and made the city centre into a very different place. Still amazing but in a very different way. Not as easy to get around, if you go for the fringe, download the app and book well in advance.

Easy to get around Edinburgh. Bus services easy to navigate. Train out to other areas eg Glasgow, Dundee easy and frequent. Can be a bit hilly in places and as such accessibility could be a problem for some travellers. Plenty of bars and restaurants covering all price ranges.

The Old Town is magical. Preserve it for future generations Remove the graffiti’s and keep the streets clean and not smelling of urine. We visited all the tourist areas however the side streets were also enchanting. The Thai restaurant in Cockburn st was yummy. The pasties shop behind St Giles cathedral is highly recommended. It was fantastic holiday overall

Lots of hills and cobblestone in a lot of places makes it a bit of a chore to walk places. The Castle area is overly congested and everything in it is priced higher than other shops. 1 tram in each direction makes it easy to get to Princes ST from Airport and out to the Royal Yacht. The paths on Arthur's Seat are not that well marked and the main trail will take you up into some areas that are difficult to navigate near the summit so a hiking pole is a must have.

Another wonderful stay at this lovely family run hotel. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated , shower in the bathroom etc. Home cooked breakfast to order. The staff are so kind, helpful and welcoming & will go out of their way to make you feel at home. The Hotel Ceilidh-Donia is our go to hotel whenever we are staying in Edinburgh. There are lots of nice restaurants, & pubs nearby , bus stops close with regular buses a short ride into Edinburgh City centre.
