A Vibrant Lakeside City

Toronto is a sparkling city that stretches along 20 miles of Lake Ontario's shore and follows a regimented grid pattern of intersecting streets. The city is made up of many distinct neighborhoods, including the Entertainment District, which is home to the CN Tower.

Downtown Toronto is the starting point to the longest street in the world, Yonge Street. This diverse city also features Little Italy, Little Portugal, Chinatown and Koreatown. You might also be interested in the fashionable Queen Street West, packed with boutique shops and popular bars.

The most populous city in Canada has many cultural experiences waiting for visitors, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Ontario Science Centre, or the secret passageways of Casa Loma. The Hockey Hall of Fame is a testament to this sport's widespread popularity in Ontario. Fans are encouraged to see the Toronto Maple Leafs play at the Air Canada Centre.

streets are busy all times, over crowded streets and shopping centres. during my visit keep hearing homeless, or drugged people shouting on the street it is uncomfortable to walk down the street. Toronto public transportation is great. do not drive inside downtown of Toronto, it’s too crowded to drive. it is very difficult to make a turn.

It was my first visit in Canada , and my first NHL game in Toronto . The apartment is on the 48th floor, next to the Scotiabank Arena. Toronto has a great transport system as you can take not only the subway and tram but also the train to wherever you want to go by taxi, so it was great. What I didn't know was that Toronto has a secret life, and that's the areas under the buildings where let you walk all over downtown, unaffected by the weather. This area is full of restaurants, cafes, boutiques and other shops. CN tower was really highly, scary but the view from there was beautiful. Niagara Falls ohhh was beautiful and powerful.

It was over 40 years between visits to Canada and my first time in Toronto, it did not dissapoint. Toronto is a big city and you are spoilt for choice with where to stay. We stayed downtown as it was close to conference venue. You will want to spend time exploring the different neighbourhoods and if you get time, I would recommend a tip down to Hamilton and to Niagra. All serviced by the clean and reliable GO trains from Union station. Cose to the city I recommend walking through Kensington Market - which is a district rather than a market. On the weekend this place is heaving. You have a pletohra of great restaurants and a people watching paradise. Closer to downtown, a walk along King and Queen streets will reward you with street art, quirky shops, some of the best vintage stores I have been in and food options galore. Can also recommend a wander through Chinatown (Between Queen St and Kensington Market. The Distillery District is worth a look if you have time. The old distillery makes for an interesting backdrop to new residental buildings, shops, bars and restaurants. The UP trains from the airport (Pearson) to the city are your best option to get into the city. Around $12 and about 25 minutes - well worth it and a lot cheaper than taxis and Uber. Enjoy!

I am no stranger to Toronto as I worked for The City of Toronto at Toronto City Hall for 40 years. Toronto is an exciting City to visit. It’s so clean, the people are super friendly, there are so many different types of food and restaurants to enjoy, so many wonderful attractions to visit - a trip on the Ferry to Centre Island is a must during the warm summer months, the Aquarium, take in a Toronto Blue Jays game, walk to St Lawrence Market. Visit beautiful Nathan Phillips square anytime of the year. Make sure to spend a day at the Toronto Zoo too.!!!! Go to The Pint right across the street for a pint and some delicious food and hang out with all the Blue Jays fans!!!!

What did we like? Everything! The staff was exceptional, catered to our every need, shuttle drivers were prompt and helpful. Perfect for staying and commuting to downtown Toronto by train. The gym facility is top notch as well as the property in general. Daily housekeeping was seamless as a lot of hotels only offer this by request due to covid. Rohan saw to our needs at breakfast and he was truly the highlight of our hospitality experience but all of the staff went above and beyond. We will be staying here whenever we visit Toronto.

What I liked is that the subway nr. 1 is literally under the hotel and you can get to downtown Toronto in ab. 40 minutes (to Union station for ex.) without the need to change to another line. The room is nice and comfortable and there is a Nespresso machine with free coffee in the room. I also liked that there are plenty of food options nearby (Greek fast food, pizza, Subway, Starbucks, Asian food), a local supermarket Loblaw is next door, so you can do your shopping easily. There is also a cinema close.

It has a great location, with everything at walking distance. It took us a couple of days to learn the TTC system (public transportation). After that, it was really easy to move around and get to places in Downtown Toronto. The reception staff was really friendly and the staff at the restaurant were very attentive too. The beds were comfortable, although smaller than other hotels (Full instead of Queen). The toiletries provided were of great quality (Dove) and we had no need to ask for extra after 4 days.

Great location away from the crazy downtown core but it was also just a cheap Uber ride to the CN Tower. The hotel was very clean, as was the room. The staff were pleasant and the bellhop was exceptionally nice to speak to on the morning we left. He seemed genuinely happy to be there. I was only there for a short stay but I told my spouse that if we were ever back in Toronto area I’d like to stay there again. The parking was also only $18 for 24 hours which is very well priced considering the area.

Wow those views! We were on floor 37 and it was easy to forget you were so high up until you looked out of the window. Downtown Toronto is spectacular by day and even more so at night. One King West is in a great position for exploring the downtown area and the hotel is a vibrant place to be at. Excellent food and service in the restaurant and the staff are great. A beautiful hotel nestled in downtown Toronto. The room was absolutely clean and had a luxurious feel to it. During my stay, I wasn't able to go out to eat, so I stuck with room service for my meals and I'm glad I did. The food the hotel served was some of the best room service food I've ever had. The staff who brought the meals were professional and courteous, making the whole experience even better.

This is our third stay at this hotel, we find it fair priced for downtown Toronto and an ideal point for doing things in the city - handy to the ttc, attractions and restaurants.
