Everything about the Colon is excellent, 5 Stars except the Staff. At least they were consistent, everyone from check in to restaurant waiters and hosts to check out people were completely indifferent, haughty and coukdnt be bothered with us. Quite an exception to our phenomenal experiences everywhere else in Spain! Maybe they weren't Spanish, that might explain it!

We stayed for one night as we were traveling from Nerja for a visit to Granada. It was a great visit, we did a e bike tour of the city which showed us most of the city and the architecture and some great view from high up. Granada is a vibrant place with lots of places to eat and relax. We truly enjoyed everything about it.

Main point of visit was to go to Alhambra which we booked in advance. Arrived day before via Alsa bus from Malaga airport. Journey 1.75 hours. Alhambra visit was around 2 hours and was great. There was also a festival on in Granada (Corpus Cristi) which we didn't know in advance, but was a great bonus to watch. Ladies in Flamenco outfits everywhere which was amazing to see. The fiesta was also at an area near the bus station. People on horses everywhere - amazing to see (and all free). Granada city itself is lovely. Beautiful cathedral, Caves to visit, tapas bars where you buy a drink and get a tapa thrown in. Flamenco shows. It was hot (38 degrees) so need a hat and walk slowly. We walked miles - a lot of it pedestrianised.

This was our second trip to Granada, but it won't be our last. In addition to the obvious attraction of the Alhambra, the City has plenty more to offer. It is vibrant and energetic with a great vibe

Granda is a beautiful city.
Granda is a beautiful city. Besides the obvious Alhambra visit, there are many hidden gems you need to visit, like the Basílica de San Juan de Dios, one of the most important works of Baroque architecture in Granada

Beautiful city unlike any other I've visited in Spain.
Beautiful city unlike any other I've visited in Spain. Each part of the city was unique and beautiful. The Moorish architecture was incredible, and we loved the food choices available in the city. The Alhambra was incredible - we initially couldn't get tickets as they were sold out weeks in advance; however, if you go on to official website at 12am, they release any tickets for the day which have become available and we were lucky enough to get some. You have to be very quick though as they sell out fast! We didn't go to the Nasrid palaces but there is still plenty to see/do on the gereralife tickets. Food was incredible but our favourite was Mi Mexico, which was a nice change from tapas. A very walkable city, although prepare for your calves to burn from the hills 😜
The hotel is beautiful and stylish in a modern and simple way. The attention to small details make this a perfect boutique hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was excellent. There were lovely separate areas of the hotel which could be used by guests including a library, a patio courtyard and an amazing roof terrace with stunning views. Excellent breakfast and restaurant. The location is perfect with simple walking access to the Alhambra and to all the sights in Granada. Fabulous.
Awesome hotel that is gorgeous. Love the furnishings and the historic building. The beds are super comfy, the toiletries nice and plentiful. Nice patio area. I sound like a commercial, but the hotel is exceptional. We have been staying in Paradores prior to arriving in Granada, I must say the Palacete is a little nicer in the fact the rooms are more appealing with a more distinctive individual flair.
Our room is very quiet too which in Spain is an added bonus.
The rooms were well appointed and have recently been renovated. Beds were comfortable, A/C great, showers hot. The hotel breakfasts were the best we had in Spain. The front desk people were very helpful with recommendations and dinner reservations. Location was near everything we wanted to see. We walked everywhere. Highly recommend this property. We had the junior suite which was roomy and allowed us space to visit with our adult son (who was in a twin room.)
Staff were really great. Location is just fantastic but because of construction, the property was very hard to find and would recommend that you rent the smallest car you can tolerate if you’re driving yourself. The garage was a bit of a walk and very narrow driving areas in the garage. That is typical for a lot of the hotels in older parts of Spain. The room was fine but they need to put some kind of slip proof pad in the shower so you don’t fall.
Just had one night in Granada and stayed here. Room we had met our expectations and was neat and clean and quiet and room size was as expected and similar to the other rooms we stayed at in Spain. Best room service prices I've ever seen, a coffee was only 1.5euro. This is nice smaller hotel but with an excellent location and lots of restaurants and attractions nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful and I would stay here again
It was my best exprience to stay in a hotel during these years. The staff were friendly and sympathetic. The room was big even for three persons and with a extra bed. The room was clean and calm. The yard was besutiful and cute. The location was great near the main street and so close to historical sites of Granada. We even walked to the Alhambra and other sites. The bath was big enough and there was a hairdrayer.
The location was excellent. The staff were lovely and ready to help with anything you may need. The breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel so relaxed in fact the whole hotel had a calm relaxing atmosphere. Super size comfy bed and room was quiet with good temperature control. I loved the little treats in the bedroom each day. There is so much to like at this lovely upmarket boutique hotel.
Everything was amazing. The staff very friendly and helped me print some documents I needed. The room was bright and breezy overlooking a lemon tree and pool. The upstairs roof patio great for breakfast and to hang out. Best hotel in Spain so far, we had a car and they even had a park right out front
great apartment, it's nicely renovated, everything is modern and clean.
Very close to the main attraction but also a quiet location, great value for the price. It's my favorite hotel during my Spain trip, the room is spacious and the staff are really friendly.
The location is great you can go by walk to everything. The apartment is super equiped with everything you need (good bed, good bathroom, good kitchen). It was very clean and the owner super helpful. It was one of the best apartments I've been in Spain.
Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Granada. Family owned, new build, opened in 2008. It is spotlessly clean, smells great, beautiful decor. And the man at reception, I didn't get his name, was so very friendly and helpful.
Mercedes was great! So nice, so helpful. It was exactly the welcome I needed traveling in Spain for the first time alone, and not knowing the language! 10/10 would recommend: a great value with excellent service.
Beautiful hotel located in the heart of Granada! The rooms are fantastic and the garden spectacular. As it is a boutique hotel you can see how how important are the little details in every corner! I’ll came back!
This was by far my favorite stay in all of Spain. SO SO SO beautiful and very close to everything. Fernando and the staff were so kind and accommodating. My only regret is not staying longer
Great Location, super friendly and responsive host, huge apartment, laundry in the kitchen. Cheapest and nicest place we stayed in in all of Spain. Excellent
