We very much enjoyed our visit to this lovely town with all its independent shops and lovely nostalgic 'village' feel- such relief from the endless "Shopping Centres' with their bland offerings. There is a great selection of places to eat and the thriving Riverside Theatre/Cinema where we saw an arthouse film. We walked the River Deben: to see the Longship Project and excellent FREE Museum, then on for a day out at fascinating Sutton Hoo. Buses were a welcome surprise with easy trips to Aldeburgh and beyond. We travelled to/from by Train- excellent service and we loved the Station building with its thriving small businesses.

Friendly and sociable little market town.
Friendly and sociable little market town. Lovely walks with a good comfortable vibe even at night, felt safe. So many nice places to stop and sit and people smile which is a good indicator of the warm feel you get being there. It was a late autumn stay this time so next time I’d like to come in the springtime.

Luckily we had a resident who was proud to show us around her town. Worth a look is the Sutton Hoo ship rebuilding project, the museum and the flour mill, all on the riverside. Walk up Market Hill to the former Town Hall and St Mary's Church. Drive out to Seckford Hall to have tea and little cakes in the lounge of this Elizabethan house.
very quiet location, extremely comfortable beds and sofa. cottage was small but had everything we needed for our short break. Framlingham was a lovely town with quaint independent shops and great food and service at the Crown Hotel pub and the Dancing Goat cafe in the market square. everything within walking distance, including the impressive Framlingham Castle
Staff were brilliant - cheerful and helpful. Food was imaginative and well-presented. The room was small, but that was reflected in the price. The only downside is that the bathroom seriously needed updating. This would justify a price increase which should be beneficial to the owners who deserve to succeed. A lovely hotel in a great location.
We had dinner in the hotel and the food was delicious. There was not a huge amount of atmosphere in the dining room as there was only one other couple dining but that is no one's fault as such! The breakfast was similarly delicious and freshly cooked.
All of the staff that we met were very friendly, accommodating and professional
Lovely spacious room in the courtyard and great for our dog. Comfortable king size bed and great bedlinen. Nice shower , hairdryer, coffee and tea making facilities and dressing gowns.
Really good breakfast. Very quiet and lovely grounds to relax and walk in ...great lounge area to sit in front of the fire and relax .
It was located perfectly close to Woodbridge, but also in the countryside so you could benefit from both. The venue was very well appointed and offered everything you could want for a short break with lovely views out into the central parterre courtyard. there was even table and chairs outside overlooking the pond.
Very comfortable, quiet and in a convenient location. Tastefully furnished and decorated. Light and spacious. 2 lovely little eateries just around the corner and numerous other restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Excellent base for exploring the Suffolk coast.
Quiet, comfortable room in a great location for walking into town. Breakfast was excellent and very generous portions. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Loved all the toiletries and and the coffee machine in the room.
Breakfast choices where great.
Lovely venue, good location for exploring Suffolk.
We were quoted £202 for the B&B for two nights, but were charged £220.
We chose not to challenge this so as not to spoil our visit.
it was well placed for visiting the surrounding towns and coast. Woodbridge is a lovely town to walk round. The hotel is a nice mix of old quirkiness and a nice fresh feel.
Wonderful atmospheric Tudor building with modern spa. Lovely grounds. Excellent food. Good location for Suffolk coast attractions. Friendly efficient staff.
Very convenient location, easy to find. Attractive apartment, had almost everything I needed. Delightful Suffolk town and glorious surrounding countryside.
