For a 2-star and for the price it was fine. Was surprised by the online check-in procedure but it went smoothly enough. Were concerned about a couple of dodgy looking characters hanging outside the main entrance when we arrived, but that was unfounded. Got to our allocated room and it stank of cigarettes, which was shocking for a non-smoking hotel. Complained by text since that was the only means of contact with the hotel that we had and were immediately transferred to another room, which was a very pleasant outcome, especially as we were considering cutting our losses and going elsewhere. The new room was fine.
The negative reviews can be off-putting but it has to be remembered that it is a 2-star and it is cheap. Can't say if we will back because it is extremely unlikely that we'll be back in Luton as this was for exceptional reasons, but we wouldn't not consider this place if we were.

Between 2 of England’s principal motorways, the M1 and A1(M), Luton is best known as an arrival point for cheap flights to London. A low cost carrier hub, Luton Airport is home to the unmistakable orange headquarters of Easyjet.
Booking.com offers hotels on the airport grounds, as well as accommodations including guesthouses in the town nearby, many of which offer free parking. But that isn't the only reason to visit.
Luton once had an important role in hat-making, an industry which has given its name to the Hat Factory performing arts venue. The town’s huge carnival is based in leafy Wardown Park, home of Luton Museum and Art Gallery.
Local crafts from yesteryear are displayed in the discovery center at Stockwood Park. Also here is one of the golf courses surrounding the town, and just east is a spa and swimming pool at the Luton Hoo country house hotel. Another golf course borders the Dunstable Downs to the west, and a third is by Whipsnade Zoo, the largest in the UK.
Luton shopping options include The Mall (previously the Arndale Centre), and the nearby station offers direct trains to London St. Pancras. Available restaurants cover everything from Indian to Caribbean and Malaysian.

It is absolutely crap.
It is absolutely crap. I arrived there at around 12.30 pm, to be told that the room I had pre-booked through booking.com was not available!
According to the reception staff the hotel's computer had overbooked the rooms. Not good for a single woman arriving at the hotel after a long flight to Luton to find that the room I expected had been used for someone else. It was extremely inconvenient and upsetting, I was very tired. I will never book a Holiday Inn hotel again or use booking.com.

Airport was under construction and our driver was not able to drive up to the terminal so we had to walk 15-20 minutes to meet him at the long term parking lot. Buses were running 24/7, but did not seem to know about the bus stop right outside of our hotel for pickup or drop off. Security had me do the 360 scanner with several others despite having nothing in my pockets. An agent told me to keep my watch on and that was the only thing that could have set off the sensor. Another agent told others not to lean on the wall / initial sensor as it gives a false positive. Probably why so many of us were tagged for the additional screening. Not sure if the lady was an employee of EasyJet or Luton, but a rude lady was trying to get us to pay for our carry-ons to put in the overhead bins. We had no issues with putting our bags under our seats on the flight to Luton or on the return flight, but was told repeatedly we would need to pay for 3 of our 5 bags. We demonstrated repeatedly that they fit. Also not sure if it was EasyJet or Luton, but our 6:05am flight did not depart the terminal until 6:20am and after several stop, wait, go's along the way finally finished taxiing and was in the air at 7:16am.

Would’ve liked the airport, shuttle bus to stop outside the hotel as my wife is disabled. Unfortunately we had to walk quite a distance to the bus stop

There is only single and big problem, at Luton airport nobody knows where can I have bus ticket, even the guys living in Luton said they don't know. I spent half an hour to ask ( even checking the automat machines) and learn for having the bus ticket. After asking tens of people I learnt that you have it in the bus by credit card. How come no body knows and how come there is no information at any where.

I was visiting London, not Luton, so I took the Dart and then the train to Kings Cross. This is extremely easy to do, even for those unfamiliar with travel. On the return journey, the shops at the airport were excellent, service was friendly and efficient. Staying in the Courtyard Marriott before the morning return journey was a good idea, strongly recommend it
I've stayed at this Hotel many times when travelling to/from Luton Airport for many reasons, 1st, it's town centre local of course, the other reasons are,,,,,,,, Ease of transfer by Bus/Train, the stations being just around the corner, pleasantly furnished and clean rooms with breakfast included at a very reasonable price, good security and parking if required. An excellent package in my opinion.
Everything! I am surprised by the low rating. King William is a countryside pub close to Luton Airport with locals that enjoy celebrations/karaoke, historical architecture, excellent accommodations, super comfy bed, and friendly Pub Staff. Kevin from Trinidad & Tobago was super helpful & boasts a “mean” Sunday Roast, so go pay him & the staff a visit 🙌🔆.
Nice, clean room in hotel halfway between the airport and Luton town. Excellent location next to airport train shuttle. On site bar and restaurant means you can eat there rather than go into dreary Luton town, which I mistakenly did. Friendly staff, who also gave us a pre prepared breakfast to take with us as we had an early flight. Good value for money.
The building is new on very convenient location - just 10 min with a bus from Luton airport. Facilities are new, the room is very clean and the style is contemporary and minimalistic. Convenient beds and memory foam pillows. The bathroom was spacious and convenient. Very pleasant bar and restaurant on the parter.
Host was very helpful prior to stay and answered questions quickly. Good transport links: the property is located only a 5-10 minute walk away from the bus station to get to the airport and a similar distance from Luton train station. Room is much cheaper than alternative hotels on the way to the airport.
This property is perfect for a cheap overnight stay next to Luton train station with quick access to Luton Airport. The room was small but comfortable and totally fit for purpose. Comfy bed, quiet and had everything I needed. Staff on check in were helpful and friendly.
The hotel is very close to the Luton train station and its a 10-minute drive away from the airport.
The reception and breakfast staff were very nice and helpful. I would like to specifically praise one of the breakfast staff, Monica, for her great level of service.
Excellent hotel. We only stayed one night to reach an early flight from Luton Airport. The room was made and ready, very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If it was in London we would stay there the entire vacation.
Comfortable, modern hotel. Bus stop to the airport, the station and city centre right outside the hotel, only a few minutes to each one. Quick easy check-in. Better quality than other hotels nearby and no more expensive.
Our flight was delayed and we missed our connection @ Luton - the hotel is a few minutes walking distance from the airport and we managed to get a nice night of sleep before continuing our journey.
I needed a cheap hotel for one night and this was perfect. I was delighted by the brilliant Italian restaurant based in the hotel. Great location for airport.
7 min walk from Luton airport . we were exhausted after a night flight , so booking room in this hotel was the best decision. We got a nice , clean room
