A tastefully extended Hall. The rooms were very good sized, extremely comfortable bed; with very nice linen. Bathroom - was spacious with a walk in shower and separate bath. The grounds are easy to access and provided us with ample fresh air. The restaurant and bar served tasty, well cooked and presented food. Very professional set up to check in, all fully explained and the arrival envelope had so many details in it. Had a booklet for attractions, we were there viewing houses. All staff we met were very friendly and so pet friendly. Breakfast was awesome and very reasonable.

From check in to check out the staff were very helpful and friendly. I asked if the water in the rooms was drinking water and was given a full jug of water with ice while they asked. I was there for my daughter and her friend to see Durham University and I was able to leave my car all day in the car park and get the bus which went from outside of the hotel all the way into Durham. I then returned early to get some lunch, which was delicious, do some work via the free wifi and then have a quick nap in my car before my long journey home. The staff couldn't do enough for me.
