We very much enjoyed our visit to this lovely town with all its independent shops and lovely nostalgic 'village' feel- such relief from the endless "Shopping Centres' with their bland offerings. There is a great selection of places to eat and the thriving Riverside Theatre/Cinema where we saw an arthouse film. We walked the River Deben: to see the Longship Project and excellent FREE Museum, then on for a day out at fascinating Sutton Hoo. Buses were a welcome surprise with easy trips to Aldeburgh and beyond. We travelled to/from by Train- excellent service and we loved the Station building with its thriving small businesses.

Friendly and sociable little market town.
Friendly and sociable little market town. Lovely walks with a good comfortable vibe even at night, felt safe. So many nice places to stop and sit and people smile which is a good indicator of the warm feel you get being there. It was a late autumn stay this time so next time I’d like to come in the springtime.

Luckily we had a resident who was proud to show us around her town. Worth a look is the Sutton Hoo ship rebuilding project, the museum and the flour mill, all on the riverside. Walk up Market Hill to the former Town Hall and St Mary's Church. Drive out to Seckford Hall to have tea and little cakes in the lounge of this Elizabethan house.
Good ambiance, The food was much above standard for a 2 star hotel. The position in Woodbridge is perfect. Woodbridge is a pretty town which has been qietly prosperous for hundreds of years. T
Practically the whole place is listed, which means that it is hard to develop the interior of old places like the Bull, but I quite like that.
The bar didn't have pool tables clacking or televisions flickering in the background, People talk to others when there is something to say. A proper meeting place.
Lovely setting with a holiday atmosphere and a great view. The trains did not disturb, and everything worked in the room. Windows easy to open & close, Great TV with remote not worn. Coffee / tea & biscuits. A chair & desk. Plenty of storage & a sensible size room, comfortable bed & good ensuite. A brilliant breakfast but only available after 0900 hours which suited me, but may not suit everyone. And the car parking works really well. I won't hesitate to return.
Seckford Hall was a fantastic hotel , such a wonderful building . The room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean , and we found the spa facilities very good also. The 1530 restaurant was also excellent , with very delicous , fresh food for both our evening meal and breakfast. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful , which made our stay very enjoyable . We will definitely return ourselves as well as recommend to friends and family .
From our first contact the Staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was immaculate (really like the décor credit to who designed and or decorated) The owners and staff really have tried to think of everything even with a supply of Films for all tastes.
Breakfast - I would have paid the room fee alone to have the breakfast it was without a doubt the best cooked breakfast I have experienced and I travel a lot for work. Well Done Grove House and Thank you.
Needed to arrive early due to bad flooding across Suffolk...no problem. Air Manage Suffolk (agent) told us to go straight there and stay safe. Very nice response.
Property was warm, exceptionally clean and had every facility you could require.
Location was perfect as a base to see the area and within a 5 minute walk pick up an amazing takeaway from The Bengal in the square.
Slept like a baby on Simba style mattress!!!
It was located perfectly close to Woodbridge, but also in the countryside so you could benefit from both. The venue was very well appointed and offered everything you could want for a short break with lovely views out into the central parterre courtyard. there was even table and chairs outside overlooking the pond.
Our room was very large and the super large bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, normal check out was 11am but they kindly extended this to midday, all in all an excellent hotel which I would highly recommend, great location if you need to be in the heart of Woodbridge *****
Staff were excellent from the minute we arrived. Very quick check-in and personally shown to our room which was nice touch. Bar was very welcoming and the restaurant was good, with some excellent local wine.
The room was very large and had a very comfortable bed.
Breakfast was excellent, fantastic choice
Very comfortable, quiet and in a convenient location. Tastefully furnished and decorated. Light and spacious. 2 lovely little eateries just around the corner and numerous other restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Excellent base for exploring the Suffolk coast.
Beautiful building, very pretty.
I requested our rooms close together and it was done brilliantly!
There was a lady there who was our waitress for dinner and breakfast, she was so lovely and kind (wish I knew her name). She made us feel very welcoming and relaxed.
Really lovely little cottage, quiet, very well equipped, lovely comfy bed, VERY friendly & pleasant hosts, ideal situation for visiting interesting parts of Suffolk. Would highly recommend
Very central location, excellent position to find the main places of interest in Framlingham and the Suffolk Coast beyond. No problem with parking. Quiet location
Clean and tidy accommodation. Easy access to places of interest in the area (e.g. Sutton Hoo, Snape Maltings etc).
Easy parking at hotel and in Woodbridge
Very convenient location, easy to find. Attractive apartment, had almost everything I needed. Delightful Suffolk town and glorious surrounding countryside.
We have visited the cottage quite a few times now as we visit family in Woodbridge . The cottage is in a lovely location so near to everything and so cosy
