perfect location for us. just outside of the craziness of the city, but on the trolley route. parking is pricey in town, so use the trolley. (it's free!) the visitor center for the park is 15 min away. can walk to several restaurants and attractions if you don't want to wait for the trolley. a nice sized refrigerator in the room was handy. bed was large. shower was hot with plenty of pressure. room was good sized. free coffee in the room and in the lobby. all of the people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. air conditioning was quiet.

I should have done more research on what to do outside of Gatlinburg. The main town was a tourist trap with the chain restaurants and souvenir shops, old time photo shops and taffy candy stores. Parking was between $10-$20 at each lot, and it was crowded for end of April. Aside from the skywalk, I wasn’t too impressed. However driving along rt441 through the Smokies was the biggest highlight of the trip. It’s a stunning location, just find something to do outside the hub.

This was our third time to Gatlinburg for more than one night. One time we camped but we were too far out of town. Last summer and this spring we stayed at an inexpensive hotel in town. We love being able to walk to different restaurants and shops. We liked Crockett's for breakfast but be sure to go early - before 8:30 because there are long lines otherwise. We also enjoyed the Cherokee Grill which does take reservations and the Best Italian cafe and Pizzeria. The pizza was very good New York style pizza. For fine dining, the Greenbriar is off the beaten path and hands down one of the best meals I've had in a restaurant. It is pricey so I wouldn't bring children there. We enjoy the hiking and did a nice hike up Chimney Tops to the lookout. It took us 3.5 hours up and back down. I also highly recommend Cades Cove. If you like biking ,they close the 11 mile loop to cars on Wednesdays. We biked it and saw 11 bear in 11 miles! The free trolley is great for getting around Gatlinburg but can be a long wait and very crowded.

We had such a blast even with our 15 month old son, our 14-year-old loves going to pigeon Forge to ride the go carts. Dicks last resort is definitely a go to for dinner, but you have to be able to take the comedy in raunchiness. So much fun! The hospitality was amazing 🥰 I love going to the candy store along the strip right past the rolling ball. They have such a selection of gummy‘s and that is one of my favorite things. The Ripleys arcade and gift shop is really fun too they have rubber snakes and two headed animal stuffed animals. Would definitely recommend anybody. Even the adult side of things was fun 🤩

Gatlinburg is a great location to use as a base for hiking the Great Smoky Mountains. BUT the 'town' of Gatlinburg is a mix of a bad theme park and tacky portion of Las Vegas. Such a shame that the town was not developed as a lovely base of a hiking village for the National Park.
The Baymont by Wyndham Gatlinburg On The River appears to have been recently renovated (including the room we stayed in); and the outdoor room balcony (over-looking the river) is a very nice touch! The hotel is conveniently located (walking distance) from downtown Gatlinburg (attractions, shops, and food); and the Smokey Mountain National Park. There was always ample parking available regardless of what time we returned to the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Gatlinburg/Smokey Mountain National Park!
Hotel was convenient to downtown Gatlinburg. Overall the room was clean. No check in or out needed which was very convenient. Offered a checkoff list for any extra linen, towel or toiletries that may have been needed for the stay which was simple, fill it out, leave it on the door and your supplies were left for you at the door. They have a community kitchen where you can cook your own meals and a community center (room) with a pool table, tv, computer and printer if needed.
Zoders is in a perfect location - on the north end of Gatlinburg so you can avoid the traffic when heading north. It's a five minute walk to the center of town. The grounds are spectacular: great diversity of rooms that I had fun expolring, a firepit area that is peaceful and a great indoor pool so you can take a dip even in cold December. I had a room with a balcony right on the river - I kept the door open all night to I could listen to the water.
This was our first day at Edgewater. We loved it! The hotel itself is showing its age but the interior is well kept and up to date. Our room had a spectacular view of Gatlinburg and we were right in the middle of everything. Also, the breakfast is very good. They had everything you could want for breakfast.
A number of people complain about the parking. However, once you learn the layout of the parking and the hotel. It is not a problem at all.
This hotel is tucked back from the strip but is still a short walk. Room was clean and the staff was very friendly! We arrived early after a 12hrs drive. All we wanted to do was freshen up and they graciously let us use the office bathroom. When we finished they surprised us and said they had a room ready early for us! The river view is beautiful and beds were comfy. We would stay here again!
After 9 states and as many hotels this trip, Greystone was the Best. Good breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Efficient check in/out. Balcony on the river was very nice especially after two days of rain the river flowed creating a peaceful rhythm.
Located right on the edge of town it is short walking to everything in Gatlinburg.
I loved that the property was quiet and peaceful. The hotel is a short walk up the hill from downtown Gatlinburg. It is close, but far enough away to feel relaxing and spacious. The stream outside our balcony was just beautiful. Everything in the room was spotless. The room even SMELLED clean. We would definitely stay here again.
Loved this hotel! The employees were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms where very clean and nice. The breakfast was very good. It's also located right in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg so you can walk to basically anywhere you want to go.
We enjoyed the sound of the brook behind our room and wished the weather was warmer to enjoy the balcony, pool, and maybe a fire. Breakfast was very good and served by a friendly server. The hotel was in walking distance to the main strip.
The location was perfect. We also loved the balcony over looking the creek. Easy to walk to anywhere in gatlinburg with young kids. In downtown but in a quiet area. Decent parking lot. & my boys loved that the ober came right past the hotel.
The location of this hotel is wonderful - right on the main thoroughfare that runs through downtown Gatlinburg and right on the river; the beds were comfortable; hot water was readily available and plentiful; the breakfast was good.
I was so happily surprised by this hotel. The parking was excellent and it was in the best location in Gatlinburg. Walking distance to almost everything, and easy to get in and out. Breakfast was great.
Extremely friendly staff. Location on the river. Trolley stop right outside the hotel. Location off the crazy of downtown Gatlinburg. Selection at breakfast.
