Amazing room, a view, every little detail in the room. Sparkling clean. The breakfast in the cafe connected to the hotel (The Huxley), a lot of options, all taste perfect, and the staff is very friendly. We also went to their bar a bit further the road - nice and quiet, 20% off on food for the guests. All in all - we loved our stay!

Property was well situated in proximity to the middle of Edinburgh, Staff was very friendly, welcoming and always available. The hotel itself, is well decorated with a homely feel. The room itself was clean, tidy and well laid out. The kitchenette area was a good size and well stocked.

    There was a market there the day we were there - lots of...

    There was a market there the day we were there - lots of very different vendors - food, ceramics, wood carvings. We bought several items and had lunch at a restaurant nearby. Also went to Grayfriars churchyard, where Greayfrairs Bobby is buried.

    I stayed at both Kickass Greyfriars and Grassmarket, and I definitely preferred the location of Grassmarket! It was quieter, more spacious, had hot showers, and I had a direct view of Edinburgh Castle. Customer service was friendly and accommodating.

    We came for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and we loved being so close to Grassmarket, the Royal Mile, all events & the Airlink bus. We loved the view of the castle from the kitchen window. We liked the size of the room, the sunlight, the kitchen, bathroom, closet, etc. We also liked how easy it was to access the room w the code. We appreciated the communication from the owner about the access time. We liked the smart tv and the outlets for devices.

    Location! Close to Rose Street with lots of restaurants. Also close to the hop on hop off bus which we used to explore the Royal Mile and the Grassmarket. It was also right on the bus route from the airport. We could look out our window to the right and see the castle. The museum was a block away. Based on prices in Edinburgh the room was comfortable and the price was very fair.

    Check-in was easy with instructions on room location, breakfast, and we were offered a complimentary welcome drink. After heading to our room on the second floor, via elevator, we then broke out into the city for some touring. The Grassmarket Hotel is centrally located, within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, walking tours, and historical sites. Upon checkout, it was easy to book a cab to the airport, and there was nothing left to do but hand over the room key—a special shout out to Amy at reception.

    Location was right underneath the castle 🏰 at the end of the Grassmarket area - so easy access to shops and restaurants plus all the sightseeing locations. Lounge and kitchen were a good size with good amenities. Everything was clean and tidy . Beds were ok - second bedroom was a bit tight and the wall lamps didn’t work.
