Possibly the most lovely and best designed cultural venue in the UK. Fabulous on both the inside and outside. Also easy to get lost in on account of being round. Be prepared for especially stupid drinks prices.
I have been here twice - once just to look and once for a concert. See the majesty of the building is pretty good, but attending a concert here is something else, even if you can only afford to be "up in the gods" !
As a singing paricipant in the London Male Welsh Choir Concert on October 13 in Royal Albert, it made for an experience I could never forget. We were one among fifteen choirs from six nations. Amazing organization and sn honor to be psrt of it. Royal Albert Hall is certainly one of many London treasures.
I had visited Royal Albert Hall on a past trip about 27 years ago. I enjoyed seeing it again and found the area had changed with less green space around the Hall. Love the area, though, for parks nearby and just to walk around.
Best seen from TV, and especially during the Proms. If you're there, do spend time looking at the Albert Memorial - Victoria really went to town on all these memories! And spend time in Hyde Park nearby... or Kensington Palace, at the west end of the parki.
Great location, located near Earls Court station and very close to High Street Kensington station. Ideal for staying and enjoying the nicest parts of London - Kings Road, Harrods, Shopping streets of High Street Kensington, Royal Albert hall etc. The apartment was very spacious especially by london standards, and had three double bedrooms - and lots of spaces for storage. Each bedroom could have a bathroom which made it super easy. Lots of food options around hte corner, and super easy 2-3 mins walk to the tube station. Recommended
Breakfast was delivered to our room at the requested time, it was plentiful and croissants & rolls were nicely warmed. Room had everything we needed - and more! Plenty of towels and nice to have proper sized bath towels! Reception staff very friendly, respectful and helpful no matter what time we came in/went out. Well placed for London museums, the Royal Albert Hall and sightseeing.
The location is perfect, and the staff was polite and very welcoming. On a walking distance, you can enjoy a couple of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and fast food. On the other hand, it's surrounded by museums, galleries, Royal Albert Hall and of course Hyde Park and Kensington Palace.
Classical music or anything. Besides majestic Royal Albert Hall (in July-Sept there are The Proms) and many other venues, St Martin in the Fields church has many events, some free.
The Play that goes Wrong at the Duchess Theatre and tennis at the Royal Albert Hall
Concerts in the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall. Visit the British Museum and the British Library. Visit the Roman amphitheatre underneath the Guildhall Art Gallery..
I love almost any live music and a concert at the Royal Albert Hall is spectacular . Just being inside such a fabulous building is wonderful , add to that some music and you have a perfect evening !
we went to the royal albert hall and walked there and back quite a stretch but very easy
