Hotels near Waterloo Station, London

Staff are welcoming and friendly at the front desk.

We booked accommodation purely as a temporary solution before our big trip to England. We didn't expect anything special and you could even say we booked it by accident. But what we got really impressed us and we wouldn't have minded spending the whole time in such an amazing hotel. The only thing we didn't really like was the breakfast, which we ordered once as an extra option. There is a place nearby where you can find a better breakfast for the same price. But otherwise, everything was great. And the kitchen was a surprise, as it seemed to have everything, from frying pans to pots.

The room was very smart with a lovely view of the Thames

The hotel is situated in a nice area with various restaurants and bars. It’s close to the waterfront. We enjoyed river walks to Covent Garden via Waterloo Bridge (going left) and, walking the other direction, to the Tate Modern Museum and St. Paul‘s Cathedral via Millennium Bridge. Our room was spacious and very quiet. The bed was comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. Everything was sparkling clean and well maintained. Attention was paid to detail, for example, we were three people (parents and child) in a double room (queen bed plus sofa bed), so we were pleasantly surprised to find a third mug placed next to the electric kettle. Such consideration is rare. We appreciated the sustainability efforts with refillable containers of toiletries like shampoo, shower gel and hand soap by the brand rituals. We also loved the choice of four plant-based milk alternatives at the very nice breakfast buffet and the pancake machine. Our kid loved the pool and mom the saunarium. The staff was super friendly and approachable. Service at the hotel restaurant was great and the food was high quality and delicious.

Great location in walking distance to Waterloo station. The room was clean and modern and the hotel staff was very friendly.

Great location, within 20-30 minutes walking radius from many great points. Blackfriars and Southwark stations within a few minutes of walk open great transportation options.

amazing room, great service by the staff the location of the hotel was great and easily accessible

Location excellent, staff super nice, restaurant has great food and rooms very comfortable.

Friendly staff who made sure I got my 10% off food (v yummy pizza) and drink. Excellent location. pub had a lovely buzz but very quiet up on room.

Great location in the middle of everything. Room and bathrooms were clean.

Great location. Clean bedding and prompt communication.

The property owner was extremely responsive and accommodating. He addressed all our inquiries within minutes, and resolved all concerns on the spot. The apartment was spacious and had everything we could possibly need. The location was also convenient.

Convenient, cleanliness. Friendly staff.

Loved everything about this stay. I wish I could live here. The staff could not have been kinder or more welcoming. Bonus points for being over a bar and restaurant. Full breakfast is included, and it was delightful. The location is incredible, directly across the street from Waterloo station, and a short walk from the London Eye and other attractions. The room included special touches like earplugs, but they were completely unnecessary as it was quiet as a tomb. I slept incredibly well. Air conditioning was top-notch as well, and a welcome respite after a hot day of sightseeing. I stayed here as a pre-cruise convenience since Waterloo trains go straight to Portsmouth, but I would stay here any time I visit London in the future.

lovely to be in a niche hotel not a chain... such a chilled vibe and soo friendly staff Lovely bonus free drink for my birthday!!

Clean room, good space room, good location and great breakfast

Amazing location, simply couldn't ask for a better area. Big Ben, London Eye, short walk to Buckingham Palace. The staff was friendly, the concierge was so helpful.

This location was amazing! On a nice street with some great breakfast cafes and dinner spots!

Easy good location enough details

We had a really pleasant stay at ibis Blackfriars London. The room was sufficiently large for two people, comfortable enough for a short city break and had everything we needed. The bathroom was quite small, but it didn’t really cause any issues for us. We also had breakfast included, which turned out to be a great choice. There was a wide variety of options available and the food was genuinely good, a nice way to start the day before heading out to explore the city. The location was definitely one of the highlights. We were close to pretty much all the main attractions, most of them within around a 2 km walk, which was perfect for us since we enjoy walking around cities. At the same time, train and tube stations were very close by, so getting around London was extremely easy and convenient. Staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even better. Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for a well-located and comfortable place to stay in London.
