Rooms are quite spacious. Close to the pool, breakfast area and parking. There are citrus trees all around! It was really amazing to go from car, find some nice ripe orange or tangerine on the tree and have some right there! Wine tasting and food pairing at the local restaurant was amazing and I left a lot of money for the wine which I took home. Also, comfy bed, good breakfast and all that stuff which doesn't need to be mentioned.

Pompeii Ruins

From the raised terraces to the oval central arena, anyone who's been to a big sports event will feel right at home in Pompeii's Amphitheater. The remains of this impressive structure are so well preserved, it’s easy to imagine how it must have felt here when the air was charged with excitement and cheering. Though the spectators that fill the stands today probably don’t make as much noise, they’re just as interested in what they’re looking at.

There is very little shade and all the streets are hard and uneven. Make sure you apply suncream, take your sunglasses and wear a hat/umbrella. Similarly, wear training shoes or other supportive footwear as you will live to regret it at the end of your visit.

Amazing! Book a guide to take you around it's worth it. We only had a day there, however you really needed two. It's a shame we couldn't go to Mount Vesuvius as there had been bush fires in the area at that time.

Be prepared for a physical experience! To see the extensive ruins is a lot of walking. Even if you are in good shape and can walk with full capacity, the walking is hard because the road and sidewalks are not flat and you stroll, stop/start, and turn a lot which is what makes exploring Pompeii so enjoyable--you are walking through an extensive city.

I could live next to the ruins just to be able to visit as often as possible. The preserved frescos, murals, and mosaics are so attractive. Many structures are preserved enough that one can imagine something of the town's daily routine. I cannot wait to visit again.

Go early in the day, it can be hot. Bring lots of water and hook up with a tour guide and allow plenty of time in certain houses. Learn a bit about Pompeii life and just try to imagine walking these streets 2000 years ago. Gaze up at Vesuvius and marvel.

What a lovely clean comfortable, centrally appointed apartment. Some wonderful bars and restaurants within a short walk. The view from the balcony was a treat looking out at the beautiful church. Get a private guide for the ruins of Pompeii. Highly recommend Pompeii Tours by Gaetano and Ciro! The Pompeii ruins are within walking distance (about a mile).

Host Alfonso is super nice. We were late for arrival and he came over right away to let us in. Apartment was very clean. Comfortable. Cute balcony where we would eat and have a drink in the evening. Good kitchen. Washing machine in unit a real bonus for us travelers! And Alfonso met us at checkout time to make sure everything was good. Would recommend Confy Apt’s to all. Especially good was a fairly short walk to the Pompeii ruins.

Hotel del Sole was perfectly situated near entrance to the Pompeii ruins. Breakfast was perfect and we were made to feel very welcomed by the staff. Room and shower was a bit small but had a balcony to step outside to. Our car rental was safely parked on the property within a secured gate. Walkable to the church and piazza.

Spacious top floor apartment near the heart of Pompeii city. The balcony offers beautiful sunrise / sunset view of the city, even though the surroundings block the sight somewhat. The apartment is <5 min walk away from the train station, the Cathedral, and restaurants. The eastern entrance to the Pompeii ruins is also a short walk away. Breakfast at the nearby She Bar (which came with our stay) was excellent, our luggage was also stored safely by them.

Gianpaolo was great! He picked us up from the Naples airport for a fee. He was on time and gave us information on traveling to Sorrento, Capri, Salerno and the Pompeii ruins. He responded immediately with any questions we had thru WhatsApp. The apartment is located within walking distance to the piazza, the 2 train stations, grocery stores, and Pompeii ruins. We felt safe walking at night through the streets. Sitting on the balcony with the wonderful view of Vesuvius was amazing.

Location to Pompeii Ruins is so close. Easy to walk to from the hotel. Couldn’t have asked for better location. Very clean. The hotel manager was phenomenal. He greeted us when we arrived late and helped us with our luggage and helped us with all aspects of our stay with advice and luggage storage. He even arranged for us to be driven to the train station. Very attentive and perfect for a stay to visit the archeological park.

The hotel is only a short walk to the main entrance of the Pompeii ruins. We were shown wonderful hospitality throughout our stay.
