My partner and I booked the viceroy for it's art deco history and the fact that the modern redesign retained the inspiration from the art deco era. We found the hotel to be beautiful, full of kind cheerful staff. We liked the candy in the lobby and the environmentally friendly options. Our room was comfortable and quiet and the bathroom was beautiful. We ate in the restaurant downstairs and had an excellent breakfast again with very nice staff. An absolutely stunning hotel.

    I loved the setup of the room, two double beds. The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. Great location near Grant Park, only two blocks from an L stop (red line) and three blocks from Loop L stop. It was easy to get all over but also had some good eating options nearby. I also loved being in a historic building. View was of old building next door but what a fascinating view!

    Well, the Location is spectacular, that Lakefront/Grant Park area of Downtown Chicago offers a unique visiting experience, that contrasts the very busy North Loop/Miracle Mile local of Downtown Chicago. Our 2 rooms had adequate amenities/service .All the Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. It was very cool that many of the Staff spoke Spanish. No complaints or issues with our Beds or bedding, everything was comforting. Also, the Front Desk staff had excellent follow through with questions, requests and concerns.

    Love that Grant Park is across the street. Walking distance to Shedd’s Aquarium, Field Museum and Divvy Bike Rentals. Parking is around the corner so convenient for our trip. Loved the pool, hot tub and garden area. Employees were very nice. There was enough space for 4 adults to spread out.

    The location is the best part about the property! Right on Michigan Ave and an easy walk to most everywhere. We parked in the Grant Park South parking and it was only a 5 minute walk to the hotel and much cheaper.
