Situated in Grasmere, 12 km from Windermere, Victorian House features parking is limited and offered on a first come and first served basis.

Such a warm and welcoming guesthouse, with beautiful attention to detail, one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had and delicious homemade cake on arrival. Such a clean and comfortable bedroom.
Windermere
Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms.
A delicious breakfast is provided each morning in the chandelier-lit dining room, which has a log-burning stove for the colder months. Full cooked options are served, along with cereals, yoghurts.
The Guest House is very well decorated clean and fresh. Our bedroom was a good size very comfortable bed with a TV and tea and coffee facilities. Excellent shower is very powerful in a separate cubicle. There is a small lounge for guests to use with a fridge and microwave. Very nice dining room and breakfast was excellent with friendly accommodating staff. Looked a bit out of the way on the map but perfect location as a base for touring the lakes. Bus stop outside. Londis supermarket next door at the garage that stocks most things you might want including food and drinks. Five min walk to a lovely pub that had a good choice of drinks and great food menu. What we had was excellent.

Ambleside
The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning.
Each stylish room has fresh light décor.
The room was spacious, cosy and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.
Keswick
A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. It offers stone walls and en suite bathrooms. Love how dog friendly it is, it’s very cosy downstairs, and the food was exquisite.
Keswick
Set in Keswick, 9.3 km from Derwentwater Lake, The Swinside Inn offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This 4-star hotel features free WiFi and a bar. Great location in terms of its approximate to the lake and awesome views. They were able to accommodate my dog for £15/ night. But no facilities for dogs eg dog bed or water bowl.

Location was amazing, only a 20 minute walk from Windermere. The view at breakfast was amazing!! Dog friendly - They put a dog bed in the room and bowls.
Great place to stay. Central location was excellent. Pet friendly the only we had was having small dogs the stairs was a bit an issue with the climb for them up to the flat.three flights of stairs The main outer door needs securing better. But apart from those issues a very pleasant place to stay
The property was exactly as described. It was clean , warm and comfortable with everything you need. The location for dog walking was excellent having both an RSPB reserve and a dog friendly beach on your doorstep.
Very dog friendly hotel; Bowls, dog bed and even a little dog-friendly info brochure were included. Great choice at breakfast and really cozy atmosphere in the bar. We also ate there one night of our stay and the food was lovely. The location is excellent, right in the center, near lots of pubs and the market.
Location was perfect - views of the lake from the entrance (the view from the room was a car park but we did not expect the best room as it was a pet friendly one) Breakfast was lovely and the breakfast restaurant felt 5 star (I do like to have a pleasant room for breakfast) Although dogs are not allowed in the main part so maybe leave pooch in the room at breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful Short walk down the hill (3 mins) to the shops and a further 5 mins and you are at the ferry port on the lake

Good location, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. We stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms and they provided a water bowl and dog treats. We would happily stay again.
Stunning location and views! The hotel was so dog friendly and was totally geared up to having a furry friend to stay. Loved being able to bring my dog to breakfast. The spa was amazing and we loved the Pan Asian restaurant.
