The hotel was amazing, one of the best stays in our lives. The room was super comfortable, modern and quite big. There was a bath and a shower in the room. Big terrace. The facilities were so great - gym and spa, the breakfast area, just perfect. You could register each morning for free yoga classes! The location is super central just a couple of minutes walk to the railway station. The grocery store is 5 min walk.

A very cozy hotel, the room is not large but very well thought out, everything is made of high-quality materials, and it's super clean. The staff is very attentive, well-trained, and responsive to all requests and wishes. A wonderful small spa with a perfect jacuzzi pool for relaxation. I recommend coming around 6 PM, as the main influx of visitors decreases by then. The breakfasts are simply amazing. We had dinner there once – everything was great as well, but it's best to reserve a table in advance. There is ski storage, but to avoid carrying them around, we left our skis in a ski locker right under the lift.

This hotel is beyond my expectations. I stayed at Gornergrat mountain top 3100 Kulmhotel last time, but I think Riffelalp 2222m is better. The staff are so welcoming. When I checked out, they also provided service of sending luggages to Zermatt railway station directly, which was extraordinary. So I could go mountain climbing and didn’t need to come back again for the luggages. The facilities in the hotel were perfect too - nice pool, gym, PS4, kids playground… etc. And I love the breakfast here. I will definitely come back again!

The breakfast was excellent, five star service and quality. The hotel is beautiful, definitely different to any previous hotel experience I have ever had and the views amazing. I liked the pool, jacuzzi and spa. The staff was very helpful and attentive and super friendly. The hotel also arranged a pick up from the station and even supplied us with a take away breakfast on the last day, as we had to leave early.

My room was spacious and comfortable, and everything worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent, and dinners were outstanding (I decided to eat only at the hotel). Location was good: it's around 10 minutes easy walk to the town centre, and the hotel provides a bus to ferry guests to and from the train station.

We absolutely loved the rooms and all the wonderful facilities (the shuttle, pool, sauna), and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The food in both the grill restaurant and the breakfast spot was absolutely fantastic. I love every little detail of the hotels and will return if we visit Zermatt again.

Really nice hotel. Close to Zermatt station about 5 min walk. Make a phone call before taking train from Tasch to Zermatt then they will pick you and your luggage to the hotel by their own taxi. The staffs here are really friendly and also meet cute dog here. Next time visit Zermatt, I will stay again without hesitation.

We loved our spacious room and if you leaned over the balcony you could see the Matterhorn. Beautiful place with the Matterhorn overlooking the village of Zermatt. Skiing is the best as the region is vast and the three ski areas are interconnected. They continue investing in ski lift facilities. There is a vast choice of restaurants and cafes. Only watch out is the high prices of everything. Ski lifts prices are dynamic so if it is sunny and a weekend they charge you more. Hotels are overpriced so that one pays the price of a 4-5 star hotel for a 3 star "Garni" or Inn. Restaurants are 20-30% more expensive than a major city in Switzerland. Budget wise, a family of 4 will pay on average Chf 1,000 per day in Zermatt, including hotel, ski lifts, and meals.

We only had 1 day in Zermatt for hiking but we were recommended to look in Tasch for a place to stay for the night as it was a more economical choice than Zermatt. We found an excellent hotel, right across from the train station that exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect place to stay after a full day of hiking in Zermatt. We weren't able to explore Tasch too much, so would love to go back!

Very nice aan idyllic place if you like to relax and hike. Great place to roam around and visit other places from there. Zermatt was a bit disappointing, but it was also off season. Nice for an afternoon, but beter to stay in Randa.

Our experience of Blatten was amazing!

Our experience of Blatten was amazing! We were blown out by this little gem! We went up the cable car, had some drinks, came down and some more by the restaurant across the street. From our cabin we walked down to a restaurant and had a food experience of a lifetime!

We've skiied all over the US and Canada.

We've skiied all over the US and Canada. This was our first European ski experience. The town of Zermatt is as good or better than any ski town (breck, Banff, Park City, etc). The skiing was great - early season so the Italian side was better. Highly recommend getting the 5 day lift tix with access to both Swiss and Italian slopes. We were there over Christmas - super high season - and never had to wait more than a few minutes to cue for a lift/ gondola/ train. Many shopping and dining options in Zermatt. The car-free nature of the town made for a lovely experience!

Zermatt is a beautiful town with a variety of shops, and restaurants. There are countless hiking trails, opportunities for skiing, sledding, ice skating, and much more. Regardless of if you're coming to ski or just to relax and explore, you can easily fill 4 or 5 days with activities.

The prices are much more reasonable than in Zermatt, and it is practically the last village you can reach by car. So in my opinion it is very good to sleep in Täsch and travel by train to Zermatt. The trains are every 20 minutes.
