I’ve been all around the world and I must say that this hotel is one of my top favorites. The staff is top notch - proactive, professional and caring. What is more the hotel is really pet friendly in the room we found bed and bowls prepared for our dog, which was a pleasant surprise. The area is quiet, rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. Wellness area was perfect - cameral, we had it almost for ourselves. Breakfasts are excellent with variety of food to choose. I truly recommend and hope to be back soon!

This hotel is amazing. From check in to check out I have not one bad thing to say. We arrived at the train station and just had to call the hotel to bring us via private transport. We got a free upgrade to a deluxe family room which was great. I cannot fault this stay at all would highly recommend.

The hotel seems brand new, parking spots can be reserved before arrival. Staff is super friendly. Rooms are big, family room consists of a single room with its own bathroom and a double room with its own bathroom as well. Beds are super comfortable and everything is new and functional. Rooms are towards the main street, but not too much traffic during the night. Breakfast was great as well as dinner. Short walk to the train station to go to Zermatt. They have a partner hotel in Zermatt and the guests are allowed to use the SPA facilities there as well.

Loved the quiet atmosphere inside the hotel and outside. Lovely interior in the lobby and restaurant, alpine style, with lots of wood and cosiness. The Alpine single room is ideal for a single traveller. Nothing unnecessary, perfect cleanliness and freshness, just like in four-star hotels. Soft feather pillow, comfortable soft mattress, weightless blanket... Just open the window and sleep in the freshest air. And all around you, there is silence, no shouting or talking until midnight. The hairdryer in the room was like a hairdryer for home, with several switches, not an inconvenient tube with one mode nailed to the wall, as often happens in hotels. The views from the windows are beautiful and very atmospheric. The view does not rest on the rough concrete wall of the neighbouring house, there is enough space, air and beauty in the windows. The breakfast is excellent, a great choice for all tastes. And how tender were the waffles! And the jam! Every morning you can taste new jam, it's like homemade! The atmosphere in the restaurant is calm, beautiful people sit and talk quietly, without any fuss and shouting, it was a pleasure to be among them. Impressive large windows and views, perfect company for breakfast. Hotel Jägerhof is love at first sight.

A very cozy hotel, the room is not large but very well thought out, everything is made of high-quality materials, and it's super clean. The staff is very attentive, well-trained, and responsive to all requests and wishes. A wonderful small spa with a perfect jacuzzi pool for relaxation. I recommend coming around 6 PM, as the main influx of visitors decreases by then. The breakfasts are simply amazing. We had dinner there once – everything was great as well, but it's best to reserve a table in advance. There is ski storage, but to avoid carrying them around, we left our skis in a ski locker right under the lift.

Everything was brilliant, the property is located in a very pristine location up top, the porter service was excellent once your arrive at the zermatt train station, everything is taken care off. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the check in process, the rooms with the balcony had an amazing Matterhorn view, even the outdoor heated pool is magical & a must try during your stay. The hotel staff were polite and kind.

The spa is amazing—very unique! It's easy to spend 2-3 hours enjoying the facilities. We also booked daily massages, which can also be highly recommended. The other delight is the cinema in the basement: a full-scale cinema running arthouse movies—very cool! The breakfasts also deserve mention - very good!

The location is very good, close to the train station and city centre. Also very close to the funicular that goes to Sunnegga. We had a room with balcony and garden view and it was very nice and clean. When we arrived the host was very welcoming and they also have a dog which was very cute and friendly.

If you get a clear sunny day, it is fantastic with a trip up...

If you get a clear sunny day, it is fantastic with a trip up the mountain. Also check out Kirchebridge for great views of the Matter horn. Free bus services were great for getting around, and the main part of town is all walkable. And don't miss old town to see really old wooden homes. And for shoppers there is the Bahnstrasse with many shops and eateries. The only downside was that Many restaurants and shops were closed , with NO notices on the internet, no sign in windows and no notice given to the information center.

Excellent alternative to Zermatt, much cheaper but still...

Excellent alternative to Zermatt, much cheaper but still quality hotels. Very close to Zermatt, only 1 train station, about 12 minutes. Train arrives every 20 minutes. There is a supermarket open all days of the week. Place has great ammenities.

Very nice aan idyllic place if you like to relax and hike. Great place to roam around and visit other places from there. Zermatt was a bit disappointing, but it was also off season. Nice for an afternoon, but beter to stay in Randa.

Our experience of Blatten was amazing!

Our experience of Blatten was amazing! We were blown out by this little gem! We went up the cable car, had some drinks, came down and some more by the restaurant across the street. From our cabin we walked down to a restaurant and had a food experience of a lifetime!

Lovely little village, very walkable.

Lovely little village, very walkable. We only stayed over night, as we were catching the Glacier Express…. The restaurant at the Hotel was closed for dinner, but there are many other options in the village. In retrospect, we could have stayed an extra night.

Its a beautiful place; the access to Zermatt is what we were after. Staying in Tasch makes the travel to Zermatt extremely convenient. In that you just need to take the train up to Zermatt and you're close to the skiing options.

Zermatt was great, a great place to visit regardless of...

Zermatt was great, a great place to visit regardless of whether you ski or not (we don't ski). Easy to use the free E-bus, although taxis readily available. Lots of great places to eat - the food was delicious. We had a major snowstorm the night we arrived so just managed to get a view of the Matterhorn from our room before the snow set it - it stopped a day and a half later. Sad that the Matterhorn and Glacier Paradise were shut on the day we had planned to go up but it just means we will have to come back again!

It's hard to avoid the crowds up in Zermatt. The view of the Matterhorn never gets old and if you're into visiting every high end brand store you'd find in Aspen or Park City then stay in Zermatt. I enjoyed my time in Zermatt but looked forward to returning to peaceful Täsch each evening for a quiet meal and a quiet evening. The grocery shops in Täsch close around 6:30 so plan ahead if you need snacks and beers for the room. No fridge? No problem. I left dairy and beer on my porch and it was always cool when I wanted it.
