Glasgow is a lovely city to walk around and get lost in.
Glasgow is a lovely city to walk around and get lost in. The people are just lovely, witty and friendly - happy to help you with directions and advice. We did the Yellow Hop on bus tour to get a look around the city, even though one local advised us to buy and all day pass on the ordinary bus instead. We had a quick bite in Molly Malone's at the top of Hope Street, and were surprised and impressed by the quality of the food. For us, no visit to Glasgow is complete without a wee dram in The Pot Still on Hope Street, a cosy whisky bar. We joined The Derry Boat walking tour on Sunday morning and really enjoyed a couple of hours wandering about the city.Guest review byNoelleIreland - 10.0

I watched a great performance by the band Meallan at the Under Canvas venue at Eden Court. Then I had a delicious dinner at Jimmy Badgers, a lovely mushroom risotto and a pint, followed by excellent sticky toffee pudding and an espresso martini. A lovely evening in Inverness.Guest review byLauraUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The granite city has a lot going for it and you don't appreciate quite how much there is overnight. I especially like the Art Gallery, Pittodrie is a proper old school football stadium, plenty of shopping facilities and places to eat.Guest review byOldvelle VagueUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A small town but with shops, cafes, cinema and good rail and bus links.speciailses in outdoor activities as UK outdoor centre. The West Highland walking Way from Glasgow ends here and the Great Glen way to Inverness commences. Lots of walks from low level to high mountains with bike trails and plentiful buses to lochs and mountains. The town sits on a loch amidst mountains and the loch is actually a 30 mile inlet of the Atlantic. Thomas Telfords, Caledonian Canal and Neptunes Staircase ( locks) is nearby with boat moorings.Guest review bygeorgeUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Magical place - breathtakingly beautiful and no crowds - the locals are so nice. Killer views of Stirling Castle and the Scottish hills and valleys - the graveyard and old chapel were also fascinating and gorgeous, though sad as all graveyards tend to be. We had no idea Stirling would be so absolutely lovely.Guest review byKATRYNUnited States - 10.0

Pitlochry is a thriving small city with many travellers and accommodations for tourists. It is beautiful, full of history, easy to get to by train and full of kind and helpful people. I would love to go back and explore more of the area. As a person with a wheat allergy, there were no issues finding places to eat with great gluten free options.Guest review byChristineCanada - 10.0
