- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 54 reviewswe had been traveling for some weeks when we reached eichardts, so having laundry facilities in our apartment suite were an unexpected bonus. The nice kitchen also gave us the ability to cook some food items which we like without going out to a restaurant. The locaction of eichardts at the waterfront promenade was beautiful and got us close to all the local bars and tours. We were served a liesurly but excellent free breakfast in the eichardts bar. Great and helpful hotel staff. Queenstown on the wharf is so beautiful, dont go to the uphill accomodationsGuest review byJohnUnited States

Queenstown is a great destination for all those who love...
Queenstown is a great destination for all those who love alpine skiing and trekking. What I liked most was its proximity to two great ski resorts: Cornet Peak and The Remarkables. Cardrona and Treble Cone are located a little bit further (1,5-2 hours by bus). For those who like challenging trekkings I would suggest a three-hour demanding hike to the summit of Ben Lomond (1748 m above sea level). There is a great number of excellent restaurants and bars in CBD, my favourite ones were Noodle Canteen and Kimchi Korean Restaurant. A walk along Wakatipu Lake's coastline is exceptionally relaxing. I also suggest visiting the Queenstown Gardens. In CBD there are offices of all the ski resorts (Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Cardrona, Treble Cone) and a range of activities can be booked there, especially most iconic ones like Shotover Jet and Skydive. Skyline Gondola allows to enjoy a breathtaking view onto Queenstown.Guest review byMarcinPoland - 10.0

Lake Tekapo will continue to be a place I will come back for my holidays and invite friends and family to join. In time, I believe it will be comparable to Wanaka, Queenstown but with more relaxing atmosphere. Hope to see more eateries / restaurants / fine dining in due course.Guest review byCheeNew Zealand - 10.0
Wanaka is a great little town.
Wanaka is a great little town. Primarily a stepping stone to the ski resorts. However we did not go the the resorts. We did do a day trip to Blue Pools and the nearby waterfalls (Thunder falls). the drive was scenic and the pools were well worth having a look at. Thunderfalls is certainly a photo spot as well. We circled back to wanaka and had a look at the Wanaka tree. Its a great picture just prior to sunset as the branches of the tree have and orangy color to them.Guest review byStevoAustralia - 8.0
Love the experiences at Otago peninsula, blue penguins tour...
Love the experiences at Otago peninsula, blue penguins tour and St Claire beach. The city I didnt see much to be honest. And unfortunately I had a bad experience booking with Trip advisor/ Viator for the Castle and Gardens booking, I booked through the app and the company they sold has been closed for 2 years. So I waited 40 minutes just to then be told by the Isite staff that that company has t been operating for a long time, so very disappointed.. im waiting for the refund but the experience was ruined. I can take back that time and I couldn’t book another tour bc I already expended the money and Im not sure I will hace a refund, and I had little time algo bc I only had the morning free.Guest review byBelenAustralia - 10.0
What a delightful little town!
What a delightful little town! The glow worm caves were an absolute highlight, especially with the stunning waterfall inside—such a magical experience. The town is clean, walkable, and full of charming little shops and scenic walks. Plus, the grocery store was top-notch for anything you might need. I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem!Guest review byElaineCanada - 10.0
Mount Cook Village is a great location if you are planning...
Mount Cook Village is a great location if you are planning to do some walks in the area. We did the Hooker Valley Track, Sealy Tarn Track, and the Tasman Glacier View after which we were exhausted and travelling to another location would have been a bit much. Staying at the village was the best decision. At night you can travel slightly out to get the most exceptional views of stars and in the morning you wake up to unbelievably beautiful views of mountains. If you are lucky you might just get some snow.Guest review byWaldoNew Zealand - 8.0
Nelson has a lot of speciality stores and a lot of food...
Nelson has a lot of speciality stores and a lot of food options. The Markets in the weekends are not for those looking for a bargain but do support local and NZ made and although some were costly, there was a lot of selection of goodies. Stoke the Bach Restaurant was staffed with lovely young girls, and the food was excellent and value for money The Arden Monaco where we stayed has limited room facilities and is not staffed outside of working hours, but the beds are comfortable and with very dark woodwork old paintings and very heavy doors, the facility was well equipped with heat pumps and hot water.Guest review byKimNew Zealand - 8.0

Hanmer Springs is a lovely little township. The hot pools were a great experience with lots of pools available. MK restaurant was beautiful - the food and the experience was amazing. Beautiful clothing and homeware stores. Everything is in walking distance, the well stocked supermarket, and very friendly people.Guest review bySharynNew Zealand - 8.0

Not much to do in Oamaru, will recommend visiting the quaint museums, Oamaru heritage museum (pay/donate as you wish) and steampunk museum (NZD$15/pax). both were interactive and we enjoyed it with the helpful stuff. the day was a cloudy and rainy so we opted out of visiting the penguins - they have a live youtube stream of the penguins coming home which we watch. We did visit the penguins tour during the day, which was open to public and saw some fur seals relaxing. To watch the penguins coming home, it's NZD$45 per pax, which we thought was a little expensive. + the weather being bad, we decided to watch them online instead.Guest review byVerenaSingapore
