The style and decor, exceptionally clean, the evening meal on Saturday night was delicious, generous welcome drink, staff very natural and friendly. We remember the building as it was before so it was even more impressive. Breakfast on the first day was eggs florentine...the best ever hollandaise sauce!

We missed a buffet choice at breakfast but understand they can be wasteful, it does give you something to do while you are waiting for your order and a chance to chat to other guests while you are mingling around the yoghurt selection!

This was our second time staying here, can't fault it at all. Spotlessly clean, close to everything, staff are lovely. Very reasonably priced, little welcome basket with crisps etc and croissants, jam, butter for breakfast. Will defo be back.

Restaurant was excellent. Food top quality. Well worth a visit. Breakfast also very good. Live entertainment on Friday night. Beds really comfy and plenty of tea/coffee in rooms.

Dusty beams. Rest of surfaces were fine though. Shower had mould build up which could easily be resolved with a bit of attention.

The room could do with a revamp, the lighting by both mirrors in the room was horrible and in the worst place, you can see dust has settled on the wallpaper above where we slept and the hair dryer was old. Also the seal around the windows has gone so the glass was cloudy and not clear to look out of.

Private Parking is advertised, paid for by the Host was on street parking near the property. 1 hard mattress bed, 1 soft mattress bed. Note for Host front guttering requires cleaning near fall pipe at the front of the property, over-spilling onto bedroom bay window sill.

On arrival with a booking for 1 adult and 2 children I was informed they had a band on tonight from 9-midnight. Our group had 3 rooms with 2 other parents each with children. The noise level was so high the floor was vibrating in one room and all children were awake until 2 minutes past midnight when it finally stopped. They had emailed to check I was ok with a bunk bed but not mentioned the live music that would prevent a child sleeping for half the night. No apology for not informing us of live music in advance. What was I meant to do with that information with 2 tired cold children who had been sailing all day and needed a rest before the 2nd day competing. I was hardly able to say that’s fine we will go elsewhere. The bunk bed had a broken side on the top bunk such that the retaining side was hanging off with an exposed screw. The edge of the radiator had sprung away from the top and side on one corner with a sharp edge. The kettle was at knee height on a table next to the bottom bunk. Fortunately I was with 2x tween age children but a death trap for younger children. Clean and dated I expect and got. I do not expect for £108 per room a mattress that is lumpy (bottom bunk) and a noise level that triggers a high noise warning on an Apple Watch in the bedroom until midnight.
