We had a negative experience of ordering a pizza later in the evening in the bar, when it took over an hour and a half to arrive a request was made it be brought to the room instead as was with my daughter . I was asked to collect from reception as no one could deliver to the room , yet 3 staff members were at reception, the pizza was cold upon collection. Very disappointing , it would have be better to be told they could not provide this service.

Staff, position , proximity to town shops easy walk, the garden bar on the river is superb .

The property really needs a complete makeover now , outside and in some public areas , our room in the new block overlooking the weir was generally very nice , balcony doors and window and the balcony really needs refreshing now. The food service in the garden needs a system review , ie give customers a number flag or buzzer when order drinks and food , a lot of time spent chasing around matching customers with their orders.

Problems with gate code and accessing parking space when we arrived but staff very apologetic and helpful in sorting it out. Accommodation would benefit from new decor. It's a bit dark.
