Excellent room, so very very spacious had a huge huge bed which was so very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Couldn't fault our stay. Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely return. The Beer Garden was amazing and plenty of seating available. Breakfast was outstanding - I don't even eat bacon but the bacon was crispy perfect! Would go back just to have the breakfast again :)

It is on a main road so noisy with windows open. Only 1 settee for 3 people so 4th person sat on a dining chair. No outside seating area.

I had attempted to contact the hotel a number of times previous to my visit to enquire whether I could make a special request for a late check in (10.15pm as my train was not due to arrive until 09.50pm). I had been unable to get hold of anyone, 3 of my family members also tried and I also emailed. Central reservations tried to direct me to hotel to enquire whether there was a night porter however there was no answer at numerous times of the day or evening and I even attempted to be put through to the restaurant and also could not. My train was delayed and I tried to inform the hotel of this and again no answer. I had to make a last minute decision to book another hotel to avoid me not being able to stay anywhere safe that evening (having travelled from Devon- Glasgow and being on my own). Yesterday I was able to talk to someone from central reservations who was very rude and unhelpful reiterating the check in times. Regardless of my query the fact of the matter is I was unable to contact and communicate effectively with anyone from the hotel.
