A very spacious place in beautiful grounds. Large car parking area on site. The room was a good size with a modern clean bathroom. Breakfast was substantial with a good range of food to eat and a freshly cooked option. Dinner was also very well presented. The housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Handy for visiting Exeter.

a few small points. There was no lid on the w.c. Not certain whether that is because it was an access room. Breakfast coffee on our first morning was very strong, too much so for us - we had tea after this. The room was quite cold at night time, which was noticeable as the day time had been warm. The mattresses on the beds were quite soft.

Breakfast was good, overall the stay was ok, the freezing cold swimming pool was not great for my disability, the sauna was ridiculously too hot between 95-100c. The size of the hotel & only 4 disabled parking bays is ridiculous, I struggled to use the snooker room as there is no lift down or up to it

Friendliness and courteous staff. Very handy for the airport. Generally the food was very good, only one criticism was that my wife's breakfast of avocado and poached egg was undercooked and the bread was soggy.

The basement room was clean and had a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and the use of space in a small area was good and well thought out.

You couldn't have a proper shower as the shower head wouldn't stay up. I noticed that this was reported 5 months ago in a review but still hasn't been addressed. And also surely the cleaner would notice this.

The cleanliness, lights did not work over bed, sink was dark tea stained brown, I am a lady in my late 60s no help was offered with my case up a narrow flight of stairs, the owner just waited at the top for me! the railway line was directly behind my bedroom window, the bed base was very grubby and the headboard was too big for the bed, a lot of things need upgrading, a bit of bleach would not go amiss, there is a nice little garden which with a little care could be lovely to sit in, the owner needs to be a bit more personal with his guests. I know you get what you pay for, but I would say and pay more if this accommodation was better looked after.
