  Second stay in the last few weeks. Nice to go away for work knowing the location of your stay for 5 nights is a place that is line a second home. Everything as the previous visit two weeks before. Great staff, cracking breakfast cooked to order and the room allocated was same as first trip so could not ask for more. Location is peaceful and everything you want in the village. Michaela, Carol and Jaqueline cannot do enough for you and I will be booking again when I go to Norwich area.

  Me and my partner booked this to celebrate our engagement and visit the Peak District. It’s very close to all the main Peak District walks etc. Lovely property. It’s good you can park on site. Gorgeous views from the kitchen and then a lovely view of the horses in the field from the front room. Helen and Martin were very accommodating and helpful. Would recommend :)

  Nothing. I had poor phone reception (I don’t think that can be helped due to the area) but the wifi was strong and I wouldn’t let this put you off booking this lovely property.

  We were travelling as two couples and the set up here was perfect. Two good size double rooms and very well equipped. There are several good walking trails from the property. A short walk to Rydal where there is a good bus service to Ambleside, and beyond.

  Nice and clean room. Fairtrade products. Exzellent pub and food with vegetarian options.I could use the washing machine which was great after some days on the SWCP.Comfy bed and kind staff. I would not hesitate to stay again here.

  A bit pricey even for the good quality. My room was on ground floor and everybody going to the pub could look inside so I had to keep the curtains closed all the time.

  You could only get out of the locked front door with a key, not good in event of fire! Very worrying. Free parking outside only to 8am. Fridge could have been switched on . Noise of other people coming in late at night and hearing them in room. Open catflap in room's back door!
