  This is a large, spacious, high-ceiling, quiet, and well-appointed apartment with easy parking. It is only a short walking distance to the Harrogate Centre. On the west of the city, it was also reasonably close to marvellous hiking in the Yorkshire Dales. The host was friendly and helpful. It was a late booking (within an hour) and the host came personally to ensure that we had everything we needed.

  The setting was excellent, beautiful parklands , great little cave bar at the weekend, excellent for getting onto the A1

  We could have done with some more chairs and the ability for all four of us to sit at the table to eat. The extractor fan in the bathroom seemed to be linked to the accommodation downstairs and we got quite a strong smell of cigarettes coming in through the fan.

  I’m not an alcohol drinker and love Guinness Zero which I don’t often see in fridges - after a 30km hike, I was delighted to see it in the bar’s fridge to then be told that I couldn’t buy it because there wasn’t a button on the till. Ridiculous! I was so frustrated with the attitude and stance which was completely opposed to the brilliant reception and restaurant staff.
