Clean room and facilities with everything you'd expect a hotel to provide. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a ten minute walk from public transport into the city centre, which takes an additional 30-40 minutes, so the location is very decent. If you want to explore London and just need a bed to sleep in and clean facilities, this hotel is perfect!

None of the contact information found anywhere is accurate. The phone number doesn't work, the email is incorrect, and the check-in times are registered differently on about every platform you can find the hotel. It was thus very confusing and very difficult to reach the hotel with questions prior to our arrival. Hopefully something that will be fixed in due time though - we found out at the hotel that they had recently changed management so that may have something to do with it. Also, the walls are paper thin and the floorboards very creaky. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper!

We had a very spacious triple room with a large bathroom. Dining room and bar are also very pleasant. Great diner menu and tasty food. Also great breakfast selection. Very nice and helpful staff

No breakfast available, we were told to drive to a local village where there were "plenty of cafes" (maybe a bit ambitious on a bank holiday Sunday!). No hairdryer in room (staff seemed surprised we would ask for one) and we had to ask for coffee to be added to the tea tray in the room. Room TV didn't work and guest wifi didn't work in the room (just intermittantly in restaurant). Room lights flickered and fizzed and the bathroon extractor fan did not work. No information pack or notices with information on restaurant and bar opening times, that would have been useful especially as food stops at 4pm and bar closes at 8.30 on Sundays. All the staff were pleasant but we got very tired of the constant stream of excuses: new proprietors underestimated how busy the restaurant would be (on a sunny bank holiday Saturday night in May), they aren't a fast food restaurant (over an hour for a steak and a salad), they had trouble getting the brewery to fix things like plumbing and electrics, the internet man said everything works ok. We were offered a change of room at bedtime on the last night and a plate of chocolate brownies but that really didn't help. We have never paid such a high price for a 2 night stay before, in a place where it seemed like the proprietors had never even stayed in a hotel before, let alone run one. It needs someone to take ownership of all the issues or a visit from the Hotel Inspector with a few hints!

WiFi bandwidth was very patchy and inconsistent. Can probably be adjusted within admin settings, but as is would exercise caution if needing to work remotely.
