Our stay for two nights at Glendale View was more than just two nights of staying/sleeping/breakfast but a home-feeling of being taken good care of. From the warm welcome at our arrival (which normally after a long drive) with tea/coffee and the Host’s nice homemade scone, to the well prepared breakfast layout, good choice of morning music, and of course, the very cosy living room and conversation with the host for travel tips. You can feel how much of the preparation behind for such a quality of services. You feel that you are now with a strong local host behind where ever you are going to in Skye. We even told other shop owners at Glendale that we are from Glendale View, every one knows the Host. It’s a really nice place to be if you are exploring the west part of Skye. Do not miss here.

Lovely characterful hotel in superb grounds within 15 minute drive of the ferry port. Excellent check-in by Night Manager who was very friendly and professional. He is a credit to the hotel.

The room was a little hot, but we were able to open the windows.

You asked about breakfast - none provided, but Owner left a few essentials which was nice. Liked location (close to local amenities and local park) and off-street parking

Bed mattress were basic and not very comfortable. Evening noise from adjacent Public House and the Public House circa 60 yards across the park. We had to re-wash some pots before cooking - residues from previous guests. We found it difficult to operate the cooker & grill, even with the manuals which were not very intuitive - took us 1 hour to work it out (suggest, you provide a concise 'idiot's guide')

I Loved everything about Wye Cottage and didn't want to leave. Was situated perfectly for access to why I was in the area. Very peaceful and great escape location.

Location wise as we were unaware of town, it wasn’t ideal as no eating areas around and they don’t supply evening meals

The restaurant Evening dinner which wasn’t cheap service was poor breakfast even worse. When complained to the receptionist who was lovely and understanding we were promised a email from the manager which never arrived. Extremely poor service from the restaurant in fact shocking
